No wonder those three were following us. However, there was only one person who knew we were together.
Zhilan looked over at Zhuo Zhi with narrowed eyes while he just smiled. She returned an innocent smile, but her eyes glinted with something else.
I'll get even with all four of you.
His smile faltered for a moment.
"Captain's here!" Jiale exclaimed.
"Captain, join us! Lu Xia brought his older cousin with him for us to meet." Qiao Chen added.
Siyang looked around and his eyes locked onto her, surprised. "Zhilan?"
She smiled somewhat crookedly. "Hello, Siyang."
Lu Xia stared at her. "You met captain too?"
"Yeah, I did. A while ago, actually."
He sat down at the head of the table and eyes were curiously flickering around.
"How did you two meet?" Jiale asked.
"Germany." Siyang answered.
"We were in the same hospital for treatment." She added.
"And what, I never came up during your time there?" Lu Xia muttered.
She elbowed him, hard.
"Ow!"
"You were mentioned which is more than I can say for myself, you brat. No one here even knew I existed."
At the end, Siyang drank juice in an attempt to hide his amusement.
"That is true! Lu Xia, how could you hide your cousin from us? She's so cute!" Jiale said with a dreamy look on his face.
Lu Xia stared blankly at him. "I want you to repeat that and think about why I didn't tell you."
"Jiale, don't stare at her." Siyang ordered in his captain voice.
"Sorry."
Dachi cleared his throat. "Anyways, Zhilan. You said you were hospitalized. What for?"
She hummed. "I tore my ACL. I spent a while in the hospital. I actually just came back from there."
"That's a pretty serious injury. May I ask how you did it?" Zhiming asked as he held a notebook and pen.
"Are you...writing that down?"
"You are Lu Xia's cousin. Gathering data on you can tell me more about Lu Xia too."
She looked around at the others for help.
Baiyang scoffed at him. "Can't you go one day without collecting data?"
"No."
Zhilan leaned in to whisper in her cousin's ear. "You have some very interesting friends."
"That's one way to put it."
"Here we go, guys! There's more dishes coming out." Xinglong announced as he began to put out food on the table.
An older man with a chef's hat came over to the table as well. "Here you go. Oh, hello there. I don't think I know you."
He looked at her and she smiled. "Hello, sir. I'm Lu Zhilan. I'm Lu Xia's cousin."
"Ah, nice to meet you. I'm Xinglong's father. You can call me Mr. He."
"Thank you, Mr. He. It's nice to meet you too."
