Lily

The scene of events that took place in the last 12 hours have been enough to give me a lifetime supply of heart ache. Dad left to a new two bedroom apartment as I learned last night from my mum and has not only filed for a divorce but also split custody of Rosie and that was the real reason mum didn't let him leave easily.

When my mum came home she had a long talk with me and it ended in both of us breaking down multiple times. But it came across simply as her and dad just no longer had a flare in their love. They were both young and deserved to be happy. Having been high school sweethearts and parents at the age of 18 I understood that love like that doesnt always work out. Although just because I understood doesn't stop my heart from feeling like it's physically breaking knowing my parents are no longer together.

I brace myself as I wait for the boy who I fell in love with over 5 years ago to walk through the cafe doors and continued on aimlessly looking out the window. It was half past noon and although he told me he may be a little late I was beginning to worry he wouldn't show up. I took a sip of my coffee and finally heard someone coming towards me.

"I'm sorry I was late I had to take care of somethings really quickly." Luke apologized and gave me a heartwarming smile

"It's okay, though I hope you don't mind cold coffee" I smiled back and watched as he shook off his jean jacket and sat down "Has anyone ever told you that you're losing your accent?"

He let out a laugh and sipped on his coffee "I actually get that a lot. Kinda makes me sad, my accent is apart of home and it feels like I'm slipping far away from home."

"Don't worry you still have the boys to remind you where you are" I smile and think back to his 3 amazing best friends and band mates "How are the boys?"

I met the boys back in the early days of the band. My parents referred to them as the brothers I never had. Michael was by far the most overprotected over me and we continued to talk for a long time after me and Luke broke up. Ashton loved me like a brother loves a sister and when we stopped talking it felt like I was going through a break up all over again. Michael and Calum were Luke's boys. They loved me but I knew leaving Luke would mean leaving them as well.

"They've been good. Michael got engaged and Ash got himself a girlfriend. They're both lovely and fit right in." Luke bragged

"And Calum? Still a singel man?" I teased a little

"Of course. At this rate I don't think he'd settle down ever" I watched as he took a sip of his coffee and noticed a ring on his hand

"Luke Hemmings is that an engagement ring?" I asked in shock. Luke nearly choked on his coffee when I asked the question

"No its-s a promise ring. I have a girlfriend but we're not- I mean its not-" he took a second to refocus "I'm not engaged but I do have a girlfriend."

I don't know what it was but hearing those words come out of Luke's mouth felt like punch to the heart. Almost like I got winded. It was hard hearing him saying that, it was harder knowing the only reason we both moved on is because I couldn't handle the limelight.

"I remember Ashton telling me a while ago. Arzaylea right?" I asked with gritted teeth

"No. Oh God no. That ended last year and thank God for that. I'm dating a girl named Sierra." He said with a small smile and it had me thinking to a conversation I had last year with Ashton

"Lil Please you're the only person he'd listen to" Ashton pleaded through the phone

"Ashton I'm in Australia there's literally nothing I can do" I tried reasoning with him
