Lily

My whole life since Rosie was born I've been a full time babysitter whenever my parents needed. I love Rosie as if she was my own child, so dating me came with a package deal. All I've ever tried to do was protect her from all the bad things in the world. It was apart of the reasons why I never took her to a 5sos concert.

I couldn't let my perfect little angel be apart of my world of hate. As selfish as it was, Rosie represented my happiness and free will and I couldn't let it be tainted.

You could only imagine the surprise look on my face when Ashton handed her concert tickets for tonight. Her golden eyes lit up as the excitement radiated off of her. It was hard to say no to her and it was even harder to say no to her in front of the drummer.

Now after begging my mom about taking my baby sister to a concert full of people who hated me at some, I'm standing backstage anxiously waiting for the band. I watch Rosie play on my phone as I tap my fingers against my thigh.

Leave it to me to be sitting backstage of the concert of my ex boyfriend. Its crazy thinking that this was my life before. My everyday life was buses and fast food and hotels. Most people her get to experience the things I've had.

I hear the door open and snap my head towards the door and see Luke's head pop in.

"I heard we had a garden hiding back here" Luke teases and I watch his ocean eyes twinkle when he sees Rosie

"Lukey" Rosie yells and jumps on him. The sight was enough for me to want to cry as he spins her around. I missed Luke being around, I miss the connection he shared with my family.

"Look at how big you've gotten! You're almost as tall as Lily." Luke gushes and kisses the top of her head

"I miss you, look I got a wiggly tooth right here" Rosie opens her mouth and wiggles her tooth with her finger as Luke genuinely looks interested in her loose tooth

Luke looks at me and tilts his head to the side as if motioning me to go towards the pair. I get up and flatten my skirt down as much as I could before walking over to them. "Rosie I need to talk to Luke, here play with my phone for a little." I hand her my phone as she obliges and goes back to the couch whilst me and Luke walk to the other side of the room so she doesn't hear us.

"How are you doing?" Luke asks with a worried smile. He knew how bad it was before and was a little shocked when I agreed to come out tonight.

"Honestly? I'm terrified." I sigh and look down

"Hey don't worry about them Lil, we all know the kind of person you are and your intentions. Don't let people tear you down in front of Rosie." Luke tells me and places a hand on my shoulder causing shocks to go down my body before removing it

"I wish your fans liked me. I wish everything could've been different" I let a small smile shine through

"I like you Lil, the band, the team and everyone close to you does as well and that's all that should matter." he tells me

Like. I've never hated a word as much as I do right now. I hope he's happy, I hope Sierra is doing what I couldn't. I especially hope the hate never gets as bad as it was with me

"Thank you rockstar. Now let's see you knock some socks off" I tease

"Haha very cleaver, you should think of becoming a comedian." He teases back to which I lightly shove him "Come on Rosie want to watch your first 5sos concert from the front row? You get a set of blue headphones too!"
