Lily

After accidentally spending the night at Luke's mums house I was awoken by the one and only Liz herself. She came into Luke's room to remind him about a party with her colleges when she noticed me on Luke's bed and look shocked and confused. "Good morning Lily I didn't even notice you there"

"Have I been gone so long you forgot to knock?" Luke groaned and flipped over facing his window meanwhile I sat up in panic as though I've been caught doing something wrong

"Right sorry about that. Well get ready then we need to leave in an hour. Lily you're more than welcome to come" Liz left the room in a rush leaving the two of us on his bed

I flopped back into my previous spot and groaned into a pillow. I looked at the clock in Luke's room to realize it was only 8 in the morning. Luke giggled at my actions and proceeded to poke my sides with his finger. He quite literally was poking the bear.

"What do you want" I mumbled into the pillow then turned my face around to glare at him

"Get up we're going to a party didn't you hear mum?" He said innocently

"You're going to a party. I'm staying in the comfort of your bed." I mocked making him roll his eyes

"Haha hilarious, either get up or I'll carry you to your house and change you myself." Luke threatened

"Is that a threat or a promise" I said while sitting up to meet his eyes

He starred at me for a while before breaking eye contact with me and laughing. It's been a while since we've joked around like that and it was kind of refreshing. It was comfortable.

"I'm going to shower and change. Do you want to see if you left anything behind that you can wear?" He asked to which I agreed as he grabbed his things to change

I walked over to his closet and looked through the back where I left some of my older clothes when we dated. I found a black jumpsuit and decided that was as good as it was going to get and changed into it.

I took a moment to look around the room I was in and took it all in. We're talking again and it was like nothing has changed. The room was still navy blue and had his light grey comforter. The pictures on the wall still hold the same memories as they did before. Everything is the same.

This place was once my place of comfort, but now I feel like a stranger. As much as I wished nothing has changed, our relationship isn't the same. We talk as if we're treading on thin ice.

"Are you ready?" Luke asked after knocking on the door

"Yeah can i barrow a toothbrush?" I asked before walking out of the room with Luke following close behind

"Check under the sink" he said and grabbed me a washcloth for my face

I smiled at him and began to wash my face and brush my teeth while he called Sierra. When I finished I decided to leave Luke alone in his room and join Liz in the kitchen

"Hi mama!" I exclaimed and gave her a right hug as she kissed my cheek

"Hi love, I've missed seeing you in my house" she cheered and hugged me back

"I've missed you more, mums been wanted to come over and cook but she's been a little busy" I tell her not really knowing if she knew about the separation

"Oh that's fine I completely understand. How are you handling things?" She asked confirming she does know what happened

"As good as I can be I guess. It's hard having to show a brave face all the time honestly. My parents are preoccupied with Rosie and making sure she doesn't feel alone that they've brushed over my emotions but I guess that's what happens when you're the oldest." I shrug
