Udo had often heard about the anxieties one could feel the night before their wedding.

The nerves that came with knowing your life would never go back to the norm you'd spent your whole life growing accustomed to, that from now on, you were a we instead of an I.

That warm May night brought all of these feelings, but one rang true the most:

Absolute exhilaration.

The night air on Certos was warm, and somehow Udo had managed to find a safe spot away from all of the excited delirium that seemed to plague the island day and night.

"You kidnapped me for a bachelor party, to take me to Certos?" Udo clarified, blinking incredulously as he stood on the sandy beaches of the rough and tumble town.

Diaval hugged his arm with a large grin,

"No, we kidnapped you for a surprise bachelor party to the greatest party destination on earth!" Diaval beamed brightly.

Percival scowled as he glared at a few passing hooligans, taking a step in front of Philip with his hand already on the hilt of his sword.

"If your idea of a party is being swindled by harlots and picking broken glass out of your ale, then I'd start to rethink your ideals." The general mumbled.

Philip laughed heartily, clapping Percival's shoulder.

"Lighten up, Percival! Think about it: the boys take Certos in all its filth and glory! It would do you well to lighten up a bit. Shrike doesn't like a stick in the mud."

Philip's grin immediately shifted into an immature pout as he mumbled:

"You guys never threw me a bachelor party..."

His chest full and warm, Udo's smile grew as an undeniable excitement trekked through him. While the fey couldn't feign ignorance about the get together, he was still looking forward to it nonetheless.

Borra took a long glance over the sandy beaches and the seaside town just feet in front of them, his brow lifted in observation.

"Where's the little one? Yuna's kid brother? I thought he was supposed to meet us here." The fey had a twinge of disappointment in his voice.

Udo perked up immediately, and Diaval sighed.

"Borra! That was supposed to be a surprise!" The raven cried, while Udo simultaneously beamed:

"Leo is coming?!" The fey exclaimed.

Oh, how Udo had missed those twins.

Percival scanned the docks with a keen eye, spotting a small sailing boat that was discreetly docked near the edge of the harbor.

His lips quirked, and he beckoned to it.

"Ah, he should be right over-"

"Here."

Udo was torn from his silent recollection by something cold hitting his temple, and a familiar voice humming out.

From his spot on the quiet decks outside the bar, where the dark waves of the ocean sprayed at his feet and face, Udo glanced up with a fond smile.

"Trying to sober me up already?" The fey huffed, taking the cold glass of water with his slender fingers.

Above him, Leo smiled down.

"You're getting married to my sister tomorrow. I have to make sure you're at your best, or else I might just murder you." The boy grinned, taking a seat by Udo.
