"N-No, Udo! Don't!"
"Mmmm, I'm afraid I can't hear you."
"Udo! I'm serious! Put me down!"
"I don't think I will."
"I'm too heavy for you!"
"Nonsense."With a resounding giggle, Yuna huffed as she was tossed rather unceremoniously (but delicately) onto the cabin's cushioned and ornate bed.
"You're incorrigible." She stuck her tongue out.
Udo loomed over her, seemingly full of pride with his fangy grin.
He puffed his chest out:
"Well, you still married me." He reminded in a soft whisper.
Yuna's eyes softened, and she sank into the bed with a dreamy smile playing on her lips.
"You're right, I did." She whispered back.
The ring upon her finger still burned so brightly, like a searing beam straight into Yuna's being. Her eyes fell to the matching band on Udo's own ring finger.
Sitting up on the bed, Yuna gently took the fey's hand to place a sweet kiss onto the piece of jewelry.
Udo watched her adoringly. Yuna placed her face in his palm, holding his large hand to her soft face.
Yuna's soft hair tickled his knuckles:
"Sweet thing." Udo cooed, bending down to kiss her pink lips.
Sweet she was: Yuna tasted like the first bite of a ripe strawberry on a warm spring afternoon, and like tea swirled with honey.
Yuna's hands cradled his face with tenderness, and Udo could feel the coolness of her wedding band pressing into his jaw.
Udo was careful as he laid her down onto the almost enchantingly soft bed, his hands curling along her waist.
The action tickled Yuna, and she broke into a giggle.
Faycrest was a small coastal village about an hour's carriage ride from Ulstead. It was the perfect honeymoon for the new couple: it was so different from the hustle and bustle and noise of the massive city of Ulstead that never seemed to sleep.
While islands far away and countries exotic and exciting were certainly an option, Udo and Yuna didn't need the glitz and glamour of such a high-end couple's getaway (even though heaven's know they could afford it and then some). They simply needed each other, and time away to celebrate their new union and new life they were about to embark on.
Faycrest was the right way to go: and the small and secluded cabin they'd selected atop the rolling cliffs was the perfect choice to compliment their already smart decision. The cabin overlooked a massive sea of rolling waves and cerulean hues with seemingly no end in sight. The coastal town was in the middle of an incredibly rare, incredibly beautiful super bloom, and the intimate wooden structure was surrounded by rolling hills upon rolling hills of lush wildflowers, marigolds and carnations in all sorts of magnificent colors.
The town was a short trek down the cliffs, overlooking the mysterious sea with its dainty and dated architecture: a land lost in time but with a charm that only seaside villas could bring. The streets were colorfully painted and lanterns of the same shades lined the streets with inviting light. The town consisted of one inn, one school, one hospital, one bodega, a singular bookstore and about seven or so quaint places to dine scattered about the beach shores. Traveling bards strung their lutes in melodic tunes about the ocean and the hidden gem that was Faycreast, and Yuna certainly was inclined to believe them.
During the day, the sun was gentle and the blue ocean was wide against a small yet colorful and eclectic village: at night, the stars were brighter than Yuna and Udo had ever seen in Ulstead and the crashing waves lulled them into slumbers of rich dreams.
