**Before she left Drew**

I was at the hospital with the twins. I went down stairs to get a snack out the vending machine.

"Code blue Pediatrics" The intercom said. I paid it no mind until I heard on someone's radio room 203. That was the twins room and I ran.

Being a nurse I knew a code blue is cardiac arrest.

I ran in my babies room and both twins were dying.

"Whats going on" I cried.

"Mom, we need you to step outside". The nurse told me pushing me out the door.

I called Drew at work and told him what was going on. He told me he is on the way.

I called my parents and was distraught.

As I was waiting on answers Drew, my dad, mom and even Egypt and Tommy came. I was too emotional to even bother to ask why they were there.

"I left the kids with aunt Gloria" my mom told me.

I just wanted to know if my kids were okay. I walked off out of frustration. I didn't want to be around anyone. I wanted my kids to be okay.

As I was pacing I saw Chris in the hallway.

"Imani" he called out.

I went and hugged him. I lost it and just wanted to cry.

"Whats wrong." He asked

"I had twins. They were early and the code blue was for them" I told him.

"Baby, if there's anything I can do let me know. I work in Oncology" he told me.

I nodded my head and walked back to my family as I was approaching the doctor came out.

"Mitchell's" he said.

We stood up waiting to hear what they have to say.

"There's an internal bleed in the both of them. We can't explain it. They will need a blood transfusion. The father is always a match." The doctor said.

"Whatever I have to do" Drew said.

The doctor instructed Drew to follow him.

"Wait, Chris in Oncology. You may want to take blood from him too" I told the doctor.

Drew face went numb and the doctor nodded his head. When I turned around everyone was looking at me funny.

"Imani, what was that about" my mom asked.

"My business" I responded.

She shook her head and just kept her next comment to herself, as she should.
