int - home - day - byeol's pov

"No Yong, I told you I don't really celebrate my birthday." I asserted to Yongsun who is constantly insisting on throwing an event for my 18th birthday.

"Why? It's your birthday stupid! We need to celebrate it!" She insisted as she hit my thighs out of her irritation.

I felt the burning pain due to that and rub my thighs to lessens the pain. I gather her hands so she can not hit me again.

"Listen, my birthday is in the 22nd and 2 days after is already Christmas, we can celebrate my birthday on Christmas," I explained.

Her eyebrows creased and she looks at me in disbelief.

"Are you Jesus Christ? Why would you celebrate with him you have your birthday!" She said.

I turned to Wheein as I heard her giggling.

"It's just.... I don't like birthdays okay? I never really like celebrating my birthday." I said to her hoping that she can discern what I am saying.

"Okay."

She walked out of my room after that cold reply.

We've been fighting about this since the 12th month of the year started. I told her that I don't need a party or whatever for my birthday. Having her and Wheein by my side is enough celebration for me.

I know how she wanted to make this day special for me but, birthday parties is not my thing.

We are very different from each other.

I followed her and found her sitting in the living room while scrolling in her phone.

Luckily Mom wasn't here today as she went to attend some kind of Christmas Party or else they would hold hands in persuading me to have a birthday party.

It's not that I don't appreciate my birthday, it feels like just an ordinary day to me.

I snuggle up beside her but she struts up and leaving my body falling flat on the couch.

"Hey, talk to me. We talk about this a lot of time now, Yong." I seriously said as I followed her on the kitchen.

She sighed hard and turned to me. "Okay, okay you won. I won't argue anymore."

"You sure you okay?"

She's still clearly upset about it yet she gave me reassuring smile. We never really fought yet, we did on trivial things but nothing really big.

Mostly about her being jealous to every girl I talk to.

"Yes. It's your birthday so I guess I let you enjoy it the way you want." She said.

She sat on the chair and face me. I touched her creased eyebrow and straighten it using my fingers which caused her to laugh.

"What are you doing?"

"Your brows are kissing each other," I replied.

"It's because of you, dummy." She retorts.

"I'm sorry. I just---"

"I told you it's fine. I understand. You don't have to say sorry." She said.

She gave me a reassuring smile and quick peck on the lips.

And just like that my birthday passed like just an ordinary day. We ate in my favorite bistro and went home afterwards.

And now, it's Christmas. And I am delighted to celebrate Christmas with Yongsun and Wheein.
