KATARA'S POV:
I closed my eyes, my entire body leaning on Aang's. He held me close, not daring to let me fall. "Toph, why do I have to have my shoes on?" Aang asked. She made him put on shoes, but no one else.
"So you don't use your seismic sense, dumbass," she replied. I rolled my eyes under my blindfold. "Toph, I'm not blind. I don't use it constantly," he said.
"But you might, and I a'int taking that chance," she said. I groaned as I fell on the floor, letting go of Aang so he didn't fall with me.
"Kat? Where are you?" he asked. I felt around for his hand, and when I found it, I grabbed it and he helped me up.
"Toph, we're dying!" I said. "Why are you blindfolding us, anyways?" Aang asked. "So you don't see the food," she replied.
"Toph, it takes, like, 5 minutes to walk from the front door to the kitchen," I said. "Oh. I dunno, Azula told me to blindfold you. Ask her," she said. I groaned.
We eventually made it to the living room, like 20 minutes later from falling and complaining. She let us take our blindfolds off and sit down on the couch. I cuddled up with Aang and he played a little with my hair.
Around 20 minutes later, Zuko and Mai came in. I dodged a few knives that Mai threw, and caught one, causing my whole hand to start bleeding.
"Ow," I whined. Aang threw the knife at the floor and patted my hand. He grabbed some water from a cup on a table and put it on my hand, and it started to glow a little after a second later.
Zuko grabbed Mai and helped her onto the couch as they took their blindfolds off, and Mai covered her mouth when she saw me.
"Sorry," she said, wincing as she looked away. I smiled. "It's fine." Aang bent all the blood back in my body, and placed a little kiss on my hand, and I blushed.
"What happened while I was gone at the meeting?" Zuko asked, playing with Mai's hair like Aang did with me. Mai and I groaned and Aang snorted.
"They kept telling Aang that 'The Untied Republic' isn't a good name for the colonies," I complained. "It was the same guy!" Mai said. Aang and I looked confused.
"It- may or may not have been the guy that I spoke out against before I got my scar," Zuko said. I gasped. "Oh, shit," Aang said.
"How didn't you- why didn't you fire him?" Mai asked. "Because. There's no point. I got my scar, it's there, I can't get rid of it. What good would it do me to fire him?" Zuko asked. I nodded. "True."
"Wait, so he had the audacity to correct you?" Zuko asked. I nodded and Aang snorted. "Yeah. It was hilarious." I smiled a little.
We talked for another half hour until Sokka and Suki came in. "What took you guys so long?" I asked, repositioning myself on Aang.
"We went to The Jasmine Dragon. We didn't know Iroh was in the replica," Suki said.
"NO SITTING DOWN! BLINDFOLDS BACK ON, WE'RE GOING TO THE KITCHEN!" Toph barked from a few feet away. I groaned as I put my blindfold back on.
After another 10 minutes of falling, groaning, and complaining, we finally got to the kitchen. "Why are you guys being so nice?" I asked.
"Cuz we want to. Now sit down," Azula said. I put my hands up and I fell backwards on someone. It wasn't Aang.
"Who the-?"
"Ow! Kat, that's my bad eye!" Zuko barked. "Oh, Spirits, sorry!" I said, trying to get up. Instead, someone tripped on my ankle and fell on top of Zuko and I.
