One of the things Allegra valued most in the world was sleep

One of the things Allegra valued most in the world was sleep. She believed it was a blissful phenomenon. How one second you closed your eyes, spiraled into slumber without realizing it, then hours later you wake up feeling like no time had passed at all. That dreams feel like reality while you're in them, and it's only when you wake up do you realize none of it was real. And once you do awaken you want nothing more than to relish in it's aftermath.

This was why when she felt somebody shaking her awake on Saturday morning she was ready to kick whoever it was away from her. That is until she opened her groggy eyes, and found herself staring into the face of a manic looking Oliver Wood.

Allegra blinked rapidly, thinking she was still dreaming. Then her senses kicked in.

"WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING IN-"

"Shhhh!" Hushed Oliver, his eyes swishing around the room to make sure none of her roommates woke up. "You don't wanna wake somebody up."

"Oh really," she spat sarcastically leaning up on her elbows. She looked him up and down, glaring. "How the hell did you even get past the stairs?"

"That's not important right now," said Oliver pointedly. "Now come on, get up. It's time for Quidditch practice."

Allegra squinted out the window. The sky was a gorgeous mix of soft pink, orange, and a luminous gold. But right now she could give zero fucks about that.

"But it's the crack of dawn."

"Exactly," nodded Oliver eagerly. "It's part of my new training program. Now, err...get dressed, get your broom, and let's go. I have to go wake up Johnson and Spinnet."

"No no, I'll go," she assured, sitting up and rubbing her tired eyes with fists.
"You don't need to scare the living crap out of anyone else."

"I still don't understand why you screamed. It's just me," he shrugged nonchalantly.

Allegra stared at him incredulously. "You're a Sixth Year boy in the girls dormitory hovering over my face. But all I wanna know is how you got past the stairs that are supposed to protect us from men like you."

"Allegra? Is there a boy in here?"

She paled, and turned around just in time to see Demelza sit up in bed and rub her eyes. When she opened them, the auburn witch's eyes almost popped out of their sockets.

"Wha-"

"Go go go," she hissed at Oliver, shoving him out of the room and following closely behind. She went up to the Fourth Year girls dormitory and gently shook Angelina and Alicia awake, explaining that Oliver was starting Quidditch practice and they needed to get ready as fast as possible.

When she headed back into her own dorm she couldn't look Demelza in the eye. Just hastily grab her things and go get ready in the bathroom. When she finished she quickly grabbed her Quidditch equipment and left.
