Allegra knew something was wrong the moment she came back from winter break and saw Ron and Harry. Their smiles were unnatural and the nervousness spewing off them impossible to ignore.

She huffed as she stared at the two boys, putting her hands on her hips.

"What the hell did you two do this time?"

"Does this make me look fat?"

"You're Crabbe. Of course," replied Harry.

Ron slumped with a huff and they kept walking. They had spent the last twenty minutes under the Polyjuice Potion trying to find the Slytherin common room. Harry felt like if Hermione or Allegra were with them, they would have found it already.

Not an option, he reminded himself. Allegra is at home and Hermione stayed in Moaning Myrtle's bathroom- for whatever reason.

"Excuse me!"

He froze, and so did Ron. They slowly turned around. Percy stormed towards them with a firm expression on his face.

"What are you doing down here?" Asked Ron in surprise.

Percy gave a dead panned look. "I happen to be a school Prefect. You on the other hand have no business wandering the corridors at night. What are your names again?"

"I'm-"

"Crabbe, Goyle, where have you two been?" Called Malfoy, coming from the end of the corridor. "Pigging out in the Great Hall all this time?" He mused mockingly once he approached them.

"Why are you wearing glasses?" Said Malfoy confusedly. Harry internally cursed himself for keeping his glasses on, as Goyle definitely did not wear glasses.

"Um, reading," he replied taking them off and wiping the lenses with his sleeves. Draco looked at him thoughtfully. "I didn't know you could read."

Then he turned his attention towards Percy, sneering. "And what are you doing down here, Weasley?"

Percy's eyes darkened. "Mind your attitude, Malfoy."

Draco simply scoffed before walking away. Ron and him followed. They walked down to the dungeons, and stopped at a stretch of bare, damp stone wall.

"Pure-blood," declared Malfoy. A stone door concealed in the wall slid open and they all walked through.

The Slytherin common room was vast and elegant with a gothic ambiance. It had rough stone walls and a green tint coming from the greenish lamps hanging on chains from the high ceiling. A fire crackled inside the elaborate, enormous fire place. In front of it were various luxurious black leather sofas. Harry hadn't realized him and Ron had been gawking at the fancy common for a moment too long until Malfoy told then to sit down.
