Chapter 26

JAYCE POV

IPINAGPATULOY NINA Aldus at Scarlett ang paghahanap ng mga nasa list at ako naiwan dito mag-isa. Sigurado akong aabutin sila ng gabi dahil alas kwatro na ng hapon ay wala parin sila. Umalis sila kaninang ala una, at ngayon nga ay hindi parin sila dumarating. Mahirap naman kasi maghanap ng mga nasa list, mga halamang gamot, orchids, bearing tree, bulaklak, at iba pang nakalagay doon. Though, lima nalang at sana naman nahanap na nila bago pa gumabi.

Henrick and the other two even Dayana texted me awhile ago. Henrick and Dayana's group found a cabin too. But Derek and Kiano's group unluckily didn't, they will sleep to their tents and sadly they will sleep with their companies.

Aldus leave his bag here but Scarlett didn't, that girl was used to carry her bag or sling bags anywhere she goes.

I met Scarlett years ago, but we aren't really that close but we were when she's around. Confused right? well she's the type of a girl who slept with many guys, a girl who have bitchy attitude but didn't inside.

I sighed as I look to my watch and now it's nearly five. I'm very much feeling bored, just sitting in one position for damn how many hours.

Taking out my phone, I dialed moms number. After a few rings, she answered it.

"Son! may problema ba?" may pag-aalala sa boses niyang tanong.

"I was just bored mom. And..."

"What?! posible namang wala kayong ginagawa diyan son."

"Uhmm, I sprained my ankle and my knee hurts too because I was tripped but don't worry mom. I'll be okay." I said assuring her with my soft voice.

"What?! Jayce my God anak! can you walk? how's your foot now?!" She's being hysterical again.

"Mom! I'm fine now, Aldus clean my wounds and yes mom, I can walk." I bit my tongue, I know mom will be very overacting again if I told her I can't walk.

"Who's Aldus?" She asked.

"Uhm, the guy I punched few weeks ago." I answered.

"Oh." Mom just said. Thank God.

"That's good son, take care please Jayce okay?" She added asking.

"Yes mom."

"Sige na anak, I have a meeting to attend and call me anytime okay?"

"Yes mom, I love you."

"I love you too sweetie. Enjoy your trip."

"I will mom." I said before hanging up the call.

I sighed deeply again and tried to reach Aldus bag near me. He only leave it here before going out of the cabin with Scarlett. When I reach it, I quickly open his bag because I was curious why it seems loaded even though he already take out some from his bag.

"Oh, boy scout huh?" sabi ko sa sarili. Natawa pa ako nang makitang may dala siyang maliit na kumot, flashlight, lighter, at hoodie. He's really ready on this. Sabagay, we're in a camping anyway.

Nang magsawa ako kakatingin sa laman ng bag niya ay isinara kona ito. Pinilit kong tumayo, napangiwi ako ngunit konti na ang sakit na nararamdaman ko. Sinubukan kong maglakad, binitawan ko ang bag ni Aldus at humawak sa pader pinipilit ang paang makapaglakad.

Akala ko kaya kong abutin ang kanang kwarto ngunit bumigay ang mga paa ko kaya bumagsak ako ng malakas sa sahig na gawang kahoy.

"Ouchh! Urghhh! I hate this!" Tinanggal ko ang suot ko pa palang sumbrero at inabot ko ang paa ko at hinilot ng dahan-dahan.
