Chapter Eight: The Tellurian Realm

YORRIS

It had been a week since I returned to the Telluric Kingdom, my true homeland. Gradually, I was adapting to the customs and the temperature here. I was slowly accepting that this was where I truly belonged, not in the human world. Most of all, I was coming to terms with the fact that I was not a human, but a Tellurian.

Since the celebration, I haven't seen or spoken to Van. I didn't know what he was doing, or if he was busy. I didn't ask, as I believed if he wanted to show himself, he would do so on his own.

I was currently preparing myself in my room. Today marked my first day at school. Yes, you read that right; today was my first day of classes. I would continue my education here, where I truly belonged. Once I was satisfied with my appearance, I left my room. As I walked down the stairs, I could hear a conversation between Daddy and Kuya. They were in the dining area, as I suspected, having breakfast while talking.

"Oh, glad you're here, honey. Come and join us." Daddy greeted me immediately. I smiled at him and greeted him.

"Good morning, Daddy." I said, kissing his cheek.

"Good morning, honey." He replied with a hint of humor. I just smiled at him and gave him a hug from behind as he sat.

"Ahem!" I turned to Kuya. Was he trying to get my attention? I looked at him with annoyance and greeted him too.

"Good morning, handsome." I said, approaching him and giving him a kiss on the cheek.

"I thought you forgot I was here too." He replied with a smirk.

"Kuya, can you at least greet me back?"

"Good morning." He muttered begrudgingly.

I just sighed and sat next to him. As I started putting food on my plate, I noticed Kuya's gaze on me. I looked at him, and he furrowed his brow as he scanned me from head to toe. I looked down at my outfit. What was the matter?

"Stand up for a moment." He said. Confused, I complied.

"Dad, look at your daughter." Kuya said, seemingly irritated. I glanced at Daddy.

"Yes, I'm looking, son. Why? Is something wrong?"

"Look at what she's wearing. Her skirt is too short. Where is she going, a bar?" I looked at my skirt. Was it too short? What could I do if this is the uniform here?

"Come on, son. Your sister isn't a child anymore. And what she's wearing is the uniform." Daddy replied. Kuya just sighs.

"Sit down, honey. Don't mind your brother." Daddy said. I sat down at my chair, trying to ignore Kuya. Kuya finished his meal first, noticing the time, he hurriedly left. He kissed me on the forehead before leaving.

"Dad, I have to go too. I might be late." I said, standing up. Daddy also stood and hugged me before saying his goodbyes.

"Bye, honey. Take care." He said. I nodded and left.

As I stepped outside, I took a moment to look at our home. No, it wasn't a simple house or even a mansion. It was a grand palace. A majestic palace. I could hardly believe I lived in such a beautiful, classic, and enormous palace. And that my family owned it. I smiled at this reality. This was my new home, my new place, and my new family. The school I was heading to was my new school, with new teachers, new classmates, and new friends. Though I was happy, a part of me still felt that I shouldn't be too happy, knowing I had friends back in the other world. I sighed and got into the car that would take me to my new school.
