Chapter Seventeen: A King's Dawn: Love And Legacy

ONE YEAR LATER...

VAN ANTHONY

"The new King of the 1st Telluric Kingdom, King Van Gian Anthony Lhuriant." I bowed slightly as my father placed the crown upon my head. No words could fully encapsulate the overwhelming joy I felt in that moment. At last, the day I had long awaited had arrived. I was now the King of the 1st Telluric Kingdom.

As I accepted the crown, a smile graced my lips when I saw my father, the former king, smiling back at me. His eyes were misty, filled with pride. I scanned the room, taking in the sight of the nobles and dignitaries clapping and cheering. Another smile formed on my lips. I returned my gaze to my father, who motioned toward the throne. I walked over and took my seat. The applause grew deafening. My eyes drifted to Zarianna, who stood among the crowd. She was smiling and clapping, her eyes locking with mine. Her lips formed the words, 'I am proud of you, my King.' Her smile was sweet, adding to her beauty.

"Baby wake up." I woke up to Zarianna's voice, now my wife. She lay beside me, her wet hair draped over my shoulder. I smiled and kissed her on the lips.

I didn't understand why I kept dreaming of that day-the day my father entrusted the kingdom to me. It was as if my subconscious yearned to relive that moment repeatedly.

"Did you dream about it again?" She asked as I pulled away from our kiss.

"Always." I replied with a smile. She returned the smile before speaking.

"Anyway, breakfast is ready, your highness." She said with a playful pinch to my nose. I gave her a meaningful look.

"Baby, I'm so hungry. I want to eat now."

"That's why you should get up; let's eat." She said.

"No, I want to eat here."

"Alright, I'll get the food." She said, puzzled. I chuckled at her slow realization. Just as she was about to rise, I grabbed her wrist. She looked at me in confusion.

"Stay here. I can't take it; I'm starving. I want to eat something fresh." I teased.

"That's why I'm going downstairs to get food."

"No need. My meal is already here. I want to eat fresh Zarianna." I claimed her lips again. We're married for a few months, still finding it hard to believe we were sharing the same roof. Her moans, when I caressed her, were music to my ears, driving me wild. I continued kissing her, my lips traveling down her neck. When she moaned my name, I bit her gently. She is really driving me crazy. The way she called my name was like a melody.

Our positions shifted, and I was on top of her. I continued my kisses down her neck, her moans fueling my desire. This was our first morning sharing an indescribable, unforgettable breakfast.

"Are you full now?" She asked, smiling as we lay together, her head resting on my arm, the blanket covering our naked bodies. I gave her a peck on the lips before speaking.

"So satisfied, baby. I've realized that breakfast in bed with fresh Zarianna is truly satisfying. I can't wait to do it often." Her eyebrows were raised in my comment.

"Such a glutton." She said with mock annoyance. I laughed, pulling her into a hug and planting a gentle kiss on her red lips.

"I love you, my wife." She smiled sweetly.

"I love you more, my husband." Her kisses were rare, and I cherished each one. Zarianna was not the affectionate or clingy type, but I never complained.

"Go, take your shower." She said.

"Let's shower together." I teased.

"No, you might have other ideas. Our breakfast will get cold." She replied, sitting up and holding the blanket to her chest. I could see her back, despite the front being covered.

"Come on, baby." I coaxed.

"No."

"Come on, wife, let's bathe together." I insisted.

"I said no, Van. Go, shower now." She said firmly, pushing me out of bed. I grumbled, heading to the bathroom, but I kissed her forehead before leaving.

"Okay, just wait for me outside, wife. I'll be there soon." I said, earning a slight blush from her as she turned her gaze away.

"You don't even bother to cover yourself. Go now." She said softly, making me laugh as I walked to the bathroom. My wife was shy.

I took a fast shower and went downstairs.

"Where's my wife?" I asked a servant as I descended the stairs after my shower.

"She's in the kitchen, Primo." The servant replied respectfully, bowing. I nodded and found my wife at the sink. She looked incredibly sexy in my shirt. I wrapped my arms around her from behind, and she turned to face me with a smile.

"You look really sexy in that big shirt." I said, giving her a quick kiss on the cheek. She laughed.

"It's yours." She replied innocently. I chuckled.

"Anyway, let's eat." She added.

"What's for breakfast?" I asked, guiding her to the table.

"Many things." She said, causing me to laugh. What a cute and adorable wife.

I looked at the foods before us: hotdogs, bacon, scrambled eggs, sandwiches, coffee, juice, sliced fruits, and more. My wife was right; there were too many items to list. But what caught my eye was the small bottle of ketchup. I picked it up and asked.

"What's this for?" I inquired.

"I don't know; they just prepared it. Just eat, Van. Stop asking." She said, playfully scolding me.

Without her permission, I dipped my finger in the ketchup and placed it on her red lips. Her face showed shock and confusion. I smirked and leaned in to kiss her. Her shock turned into surprise.

"That's the most delicious food I've ever tasted." I said with a wink. She blushed, my wife still shy even though we were married.

We enjoyed breakfast together. Even though it was just the two of us, it was a joyful meal. Sharing food with the person you love is happiness. We talked about our future, the number of children we wanted, their names, and more.
