PROLOGUE - "THE FIRST MEETING"

"You're so noisy. Will you stop crying?" complained of voice that seemed to come from nowhere.

That voice sounded familiar, but the pain I was feeling was too overwhelming to pay attention to it. I was choking on sadness and grief. Tears continued to stream down my cheeks, and I had lost count of how many times I had sobbed. The pain felt endless. Why did he do this to me? I gave him everything, yet despite that, he still looked for someone else.

"Tss! I said stop. You're so noisy." I heard the voice again, clearer now, sharper. The tone was angry, but beneath it, there was still a familiarity. I felt like I had known this voice for a long time, but I couldn't pinpoint from where.

My eyes wandered around, trying to find the source of the voice. I saw nothing, only trees and yellow leaves surrounding me.

"Who are you? Don't meddle in someone else's life!" I shouted, trying to stop the flow of tears.

Why was this person interfering? Did he understand what it felt like to be left and deceived? To have your heart broken by someone you thought would be with you until the end?

Why did you do this to me, Luis? Why?

"How can I not meddle when you're so noisy?" The voice replied again, still unseen.

"Then leave!" I shouted. Who was this person to tell me to stop? He knew nothing about the pain I was going through!

"This is my place. You're the one who should leave." He replied coldly.

This guy was really annoying. The pain I was feeling was now mixed with anger. How could this place be his? Was his name written here? Why was he acting so high and mighty? My head throbbed with rage.

"Show yourself! Who are you? Do I know you?" I demanded while standing up. I walked in circles, desperately searching for the source of the voice. But no matter what I did, I still couldn't see him.

The surroundings were quiet.

All I could hear was the rustling of dry leaves under my feet. My heartbeat quickened with each step. I couldn't understand men, they were so confusing and vague.

My tears began to flow again. Is this what love really is? Does it have to hurt this much? I didn't know what was wrong with me. I gave everything, my love, time, and trust, yet he still looked for someone else. What made it worse was that he chose my friend.

Traitors!

"Didn't you notice from the start that Luis never really liked you?" The voice suddenly spoke again from my left.

I turned and my eyes widened when I saw a man sitting under a tree. He was staring into the distance, as if he knew a lot about my life. I wondered how long he had been there. I didn't even feel his presence.

Finally, I saw him. A man with a well-built physique, sitting with his back against a tree. I had no idea he had been there all along.
