"Kanina ka pa tulala, okay ka lang ba?" Lachlan asked me. I was pre-occupied the moment I heard that comment from him. He was disgusted with the killer. I am the killer. So that makes him disgusted of me.

"Hoy babae! Tapos na ang klase!" Sigaw niya sa akin.

"Tangina? Yon na yon?" Tumayo na ako at nag simulang maglakad palabas nang classroom.

"Anong "yon na yon"? Compensation na tayo!" Frustrated niyang sagot. "Pasalamat ka at hindi ka tinawag ni attorney kanina." Hinabol niya ako para makasabay siya sa akin sa paglalakad.

"Oh, ano naman, masasagot ko 'yan." Ang hambog ko naman.

"Talaga lang ha." Kinuha niya ang kanyang libro at naghanap ng itatanong sa akin. "Give me one difference of compensation and payment." Taas noo niyang turan.

I look at him angrily, he smirked. "In compensation, it is not required that the parties have the capacity to give or to receive, as the case may be, it is under Article 1290, while in order that there may be a valid payment, the parties must have the free disposal of the thing due and capacity to alienate it under Article 1239. and to receive payment which falls under Articles 1240-1241, as the case may be." I fired back at him, victoriously.

"Peste! Nakalunok kaba nang libro ni De Leon?" He answered, shocked of how I fluently answered his on-the-spot recitation. "Pero maiba nga, bakit tulala ka? Simula nung pinag-usapan natin si Theodore at ang pumatay sa kanya, naging ganyan ka na. Swerte mo nalang kasi walang pakialam ang prof natin sa minor sa'yo at hindi ka tinawag kanina ni attorney sa klase natin sa Oblicon."

"Wala lang. I hate killings." Weeeee? "Hindi mo ako maloloko, wala pa tayo sa compensation. Kahit tulala ako kanina, nakikinig naman ako no." Pagdedepensa ko sasarili ko at para mawala sa pinag-uusapan namin ang tungkol kay Theodore.

"Mag-aral ka kasi, puro ka Mobile Legends at night out." Pagsesermon ko sa kanya. I don't know why he chose this course. Ang kwento niya sa'kin noon, balak niyang mag-enroll sa Pharmacy, pero nung admissions daw ay pinalitan niya nang Accountancy.

"You know that I don't like fixing anybody else' business transaction." He yawned, tamad tamad talaga.

"If you don't like this course, why are you here? You will struggle with the course you don't like." I added, if you're not passionate about it, might as well drop it. Well, in my opinion.

"I'm here because of you," He stared at me, reading my emotions. I don't know if I will be happy with his answer, I don't want him to put in a situation like this, na hindi niya naman gusto. And who knows? Maybe someday he will know that I was the one who killed Theodore. I can't bear the sight of him being disgusted of me. Siya na nga lang ang ka isa-isa kong kaibigan tapos mandidiri pa sa'kin? Pisting yawa man ni oy.
