Callum left on his own, letter in hand. He couldn't bare having her on her own, feeling like she had to do this alone. Why do you feel like you have to do this alone? Why can't you trust me, talk to me? I know you've been having nightmares, whatever it is, we could've worked though it together...we will work through this together.
He continues to walk aimlessly through the forests, he looked everywhere he could for any sign of Rayla. They had never really been apart since they met, and he really was starting to miss her. Miss them. The way they laid together at night, whispered sweet nothings to each other. The way they snuck away in the middle of the day for time together, snuck little kisses when no one was looking. What happened to that? Callum longed for that again. That happiness. But...was she really happy during that time? Did she enjoy those moments...or were they a distraction from her real feelings. Her fear.
He had to take a moment to think, all this time that he had thought they were fine, she wasn't. He had overlooked the truth for so long. He now understood, and had much more of a reason to find Rayla. He found a trail, broken branches, muddy footprints...then they suddenly disappeared and worry fled through Callum. He looked for clues in the trees, it was muddy, there should have been a mark, something. But nothing. This wasn't her hiding, something had happened. Rayla needed help. He found a village, a small one, but maybe they had seen her.
Callum walked up to almost everyone in town, asking if they had seen an elf run by. Then he found an old woman. "I didn't see any elf...but I saw a suspicious girl in a cloak. She had completely white hair." Callum facepalmed. Of course she would disguise herself! The woman pointed in the direction she had seen the girl run off. Callum sprinted in the direction. He found a cave. Upon walking closer he smelled...hot brown morning potion? Then he saw the girl. The old woman hadn't seen Rayla... "Claudia?"
