Claudia had left her there, she chained Rayla up then left. This place she was chained up...it was so familiar. She knew she had at least seen this place before...in her dreams. Oh no. This wasn't good. She was going to live out her nightmare. She needed to leave, but had no way. She was too weak to try and break out of the chains, and she didn't know where she actually was. She just hoped she had enough time to regain her strength before that monster came for her. Just then Rayla heard footsteps. She desperately hoped that it was someone coming to rescue her, and not someone coming for her...It was the latter.
Viren stepped into view. He looked at her, his smile maniacal. His eyes cold, dead looking, and yet they stared at her with so much hate, so much darkness. She knew he was here for his revenge. She would fail. She would have left Callum alone on his birthday, just to die...Callum. She would die without saying goodbye. She left him alone, and now she'd never get to see him again.
She jerked out of her thoughts when Viren spoke up. "Hello, elf. The last time we met you took my life, an unforgivable action. And for that, I will repay the favor." He took a bag out of his back pocket. She looked suspiciously at it. Viren kicked it towards her. "Wouldn't you like to see your family before you die?" Rayla looked up at the man, She was terrified. "Wh-what do you mean?" Viren just looked at her with that wicked smile, then he unchained her. "Look in the bag." So she did. There were coins, three to be exact. She picked one up and turned it over in her hand, and then gasped.
Rayla dropped the coin, her lip trembling. "No...no please." Viren only grinned wider. "Don't worry Rayla. You'll join them soon." She mustered up the strength to get up. Viren pushed her back down. "Not so fa-" She had kicked him hard in the groin. He grunted and fell to the ground in pain. She used the limited amount of time she had to run, though she was still weak. She stumbled and fell over. Soon the monster loomed over her again. "You will pay for this." He got out a primal stone from his satchel. "Aspiro Frigis" She was trapped in a block of ice, with no way of escape. Viren drew closer. "Finally, I will have my revenge for the life you have taken." He pulled out his staff, and started to perform a spell. Rayla could feel her life force being sucked from her. She started to cry. "I'm sorry Callum. I'm so sorry." She could hear Viren laugh as the rest of her life force was sucked away from her.
She was in a new place...it was pure darkness, just her and a void of nothing. She broke down crying, it was all she was able to do. She was stuck...trapped by dark magic.
Viren picked up the newest of his collection and put it in his sack. What he had forgotten to do was pick up the coin Rayla had taken out. He walked away from the site, the coin left behind.
