7.Night School

It was the same night that I had been stuck in detention. I had gotten home only to realise that I'd left my phone in my locker so I figured I would head back to get it. I parked my truck before hopping out and making the way into the high school. I was strolling the dark,quiet empty halls, when all of a sudden something played on the school tanoid. It sounded like a dying cat of the sorts.I  shrugged as I continued to make the way to my locker when suddenly a loud roar escaped the tanoid. This time a lot more ferocious which made me freeze in my tracks. I heard the school door open and close but decided to simply remain still. A few minutes of silence passed. No footsteps, no cats, no growls or roars. I took a small step forward before I speed walked to my locker as quickly as I could but then just up the hallway two figures ran in the door before slamming it behind them both holding onto the set of double doors for their life.

"Lock it, lock it!" I heard one of them yell. I recognised the voice in an instant. Scott.

"Do I look like I have a key?" The second boy said in frustration. Almost as though the flame and the smoke never separated. Neither did Scott and Stiles.

"Grab something!" Scott told him fear lacing his voice.

Stiles looked around him,"What?"

"Anything!" Scott ordered. There was then a  few seconds of silence before Stiles stood up and looked out the small window in the door. Then Scott did the same. Dani slowly made her way towards the boys each step she took she could hear them breathing a little louder.

"No" Scott said to his friend.

"Yes" Stiles said with his hand placed on the door handle ready to open it.

"Stiles no don't!" The 2 argued. Stiles then opened the door before stepping outside and shutting the door behind him. A minute or so passed as Scott stared out the window then he began hitting it and screaming for Stiles to come back inside. Stiles then came running back through the door as he used a pair of bolt cutters to lock the doors together.  The 2 then stood up and looked out the windows again.

"Where is it?" Scott asked.

"Where's what?" I asked from behind the 2 of them. Both boys jumped as they spun around to see the girl both of them getting a fright. Stiles then screamed and grabbed onto Scott's arm.

"Dani!" Stiles shouted.

"Jeez calm it...It's me?" I told them as I put my hands up.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Scott asked me with wide eyes.

"I came back to get my phone, why are yous here?"

"Long story" Stiles said simply as he turned to look out the window. As he shone a flashlight outside.

"That won't hold will it" Scott said gesturing to the door.  As the boys took several steps back so they were in line with me.

"Probably not" Stiles answered.

"Hate to interrupt but what's going on?" I said butting in as I stood between them.

"Look we're in trouble ok? We gotta move" Scott said briefly.

"Does this have anything to do with the growls I heard on the tanoid?" I said pointing to the speaker.

"No, well sort of, kind of maybe" Stiles said trying to decide which way to answer.

"That's helpful" I deadpanned. Just then a howl came.

"Guys" I said looking between them. "I think we're the next victims"  It only took a second before the 3 of us ran as fast as we could to the nearest classroom.
