season one | episode eleven
The Great Ping Pong ScanArielle sat across from Jade, engaged in conversation, while Tori tried to interject. "Jade, Arielle, I'm not going away," Tori insisted, but the girls ignored her.
"If you don't stop talking, I'm gonna step on your throat," Arielle threatened, her gaze fixed on Tori.
"Go ahead," Tori replied sarcastically. "Kinky," Arielle remarked casually, causing Jade to raise an eyebrow.
"Excuse me?" Jade asked, her tone challenging. "Nothing. I said nothing," Arielle backtracked quickly.
"That's what I thought," Jade responded with a smirk. "You can't just say no," Tori protested, looking at Jade.
"No, no, no, no," Jade reiterated firmly before the bell interrupted.
"I have class, so I'm leaving you nerds to solve your problems," Arielle declared, giving Jade a quick kiss before walking away.
---
Arielle lounged on the couch, sipping tea, while observing Tori dominate Beck and André in ping pong, and then Cat.
"Your turn," Tori beckoned to Arielle with her paddle.
"I'm coming," Arielle groaned, setting her cup down. "That's what she said," she added with a laugh.
"Wow, hilarious. Ready to serve?" Tori asked with a smirk.
"Whatever," Arielle replied nonchalantly, picking up the ball as they began to play, with Tori ultimately winning. "Cool," Arielle commented, picking up her cup of tea.
"That tea looks really sweet," Beck remarked, pointing at her cup.
"I know. I love sweet things," Arielle replied with a smile, stretching her legs onto his lap.
"You're not joining the club," Jade declared, looking pointedly at Tori. "Is this because Arielle and I kissed?" Tori questioned.
"When did we kiss? I have a shitty memory. Also, my brother is coming here in a month," Arielle explained casually.
"The first day we met. And you have a brother?" Tori inquired. "Yeah, he used to go to a different school, but now he's transferring here," Arielle confirmed.
"How did I not know she has a brother? She never talks about him. Oh, now I get it. Anyway, I decide who makes the team and who doesn't, and you don't," Jade asserted before Tori walked towards the door.
"Bye, Toronto," Arielle called after Tori, taking another sip of her tea.
---
Arielle reclined on the couch, engrossed in a book.
"Do you want something to drink?" Beck asked, leaning over her. "I might spill on my book and then have the urge to kill myself, but thanks for the offer," Arielle replied with a smile.
"Anytime," Beck said, kissing her before walking away.
Suddenly, a loud crash followed by a scream caught Arielle's attention. She set her book down.
"Did the vending machine just scream?" she asked aloud, standing up to investigate.
The back of the vending machine swung open, revealing Tori inside. "I can't believe you would do this, and in front of the 'Six of Crows'," Arielle scolded, gesturing to her book.
"Believe it," Tori retorted, climbing out of the machine.
"Why were you hiding in there?" Robbie questioned, as Arielle retrieved her burrito. "Because I had a feeling your team was fake," Tori explained, accepting half of Arielle's burrito.
"Thank you," Tori said sincerely after taking a bite. "All you do is play party games, read, and eat delicious burritos," she observed.
"My mom made it. She's a chef," Arielle interjected proudly.
"I feel like I know nothing about you," Tori admitted. "I love that," Arielle replied with a smile. "I think we should tell her," André suggested tentatively. "No!" Jade objected firmly.
"The club is bullshit. We're faking it so we can all hang out, and the school gives us money because they think we need to buy stuff, but we just buy whatever we want," Arielle explained candidly, settling beside Beck on the couch.
"So, are you going to expose us and ruin everything?" Jade challenged as Arielle nonchalantly took another bite of her burrito.
"If you let me on the team, I won't," Tori proposed.
"I love blackmail," Arielle remarked casually, washing down her food with a sip of tea.
---
Arielle sat between Jade and Beck at dinner with the Ping Pong team.
"Why are you still wearing your uniform?" Arielle teased Tori. "You're wearing the same outfit from earlier," Tori retorted.
"Because I look hot in it," Arielle replied playfully.
Later, they all enjoyed dessert. "Can I have a piece of your chocolate cake?" Arielle asked André.
"Why didn't you get chocolate cake?" Tori wondered, gesturing towards Arielle's pie.
"I can't eat too much chocolate. It makes me sick," Arielle explained. "Here's a piece of cake," a voice said, and Arielle turned to see her mom.
"Thank you, Mom," Arielle said gratefully as her mother placed a small slice of cake on her plate. "Your mom works here?" Tori asked, surprised.
"I own the place," Courtney revealed with a smile before walking away. "Are we even friends? Do you even know me?" Arielle pondered aloud, shaking her head.
