Jade dumps Beck

"We're not done talking about this," Jade called after Beck as he descended the stairs.

"I am," Arielle and Beck replied simultaneously.

"Well, I'm not," Jade retorted, fixing her gaze on Beck.

"Listen, Alyssa Vaughan is just a friend," Beck explained.

"A friend who's already sent you six text messages today," Jade pointed out, just as Beck's phone buzzed.

"Why is she messaging you so much?" Arielle asked, eyeing Beck suspiciously.

"You don't even know if it's her," Beck countered, glancing at them both. "Is it?" Jade demanded angrily, as Beck retrieved his phone.

"What's your favorite tropical fruit?" Beck queried, looking at the two.

"Mango," Jade and Arielle answered simultaneously.

"And I don't like your new little relationship with Alyssa Vaughan," Jade added firmly.

"Now that I think about it, neither do I," Arielle chimed in, shooting Beck a pointed look.

"It's just a text message," Beck protested, holding up his phone.

"Yeah, saying something like 'Oh Beck, I love you,'" Arielle mimicked in a high-pitched voice.

"Or 'Hi Beck, my daddy just got richer and I got prettier. Let's make out,'" Jade added sarcastically.

"Okay, let me see if I understand this," Beck said, addressing them both. "Because we're dating, I can't be friends with other girls?"

"You can be friends with ugly girls," Jade suggested. "Like Trina or Tori," Arielle added.

"But not gorgeous, rich ones," Jade clarified.

"You know what? I'm gonna get some coffee before I strangle you and your mistress," Arielle declared, glaring at Beck.

"You've been watching way too much Reign," Beck remarked as Arielle walked away.

After grabbing a coffee, Arielle returned to find Tori standing by Beck's locker. "Where are Beck and Jade?" she asked Tori.

"They broke up," Tori replied, meeting Arielle's gaze.

"This feels like when my parents got divorced," Arielle murmured, a pained expression crossing her face. "I think I'll leave now," she added quietly, walking away.

At lunch, Arielle sat beside Cat, resting her head in the redhead's lap. "I'm so sad," she confessed.

"It's okay," Cat murmured, gently petting Arielle's hair.

"Every time they break up, I feel like I have to choose sides, like when I had to pick which parent to live with, and the judge decided I could only stay with my dad on weekends," Arielle explained.

"My brother has to go to special hospitals every weekend," Cat shared sympathetically, nodding.

Later that day, Arielle visited Jade's apartment and found her lying on the couch. "Hey," Arielle greeted her, lifting Jade's feet before sitting down.
