Wifi In The Sky

Arielle sat on her bed, absorbed in her thoughts, when a knock interrupted her solitude. "Come in," she called out, and her mother, Courtney, entered with a smile.

"Honey, I made pie," Courtney said, her eyes gentle as they met Arielle's. "Okay, Momma," Arielle replied, getting up and following her to the kitchen, where she gladly accepted a slice.

Returning to her room with a glass of water, Arielle settled back onto her bed and turned on some music. She reached for her laptop and began working on her script for class.

Her concentration was broken by a call from Robbie. "Hey," she greeted him, seeing him and his puppet on the screen. "Can I ask you something?" Robbie inquired. Arielle nodded, listening as he explained how Rex had ditched their plans.

After ending the call with Robbie, she sighed as Sinjin's name flashed on her phone. "Not again," she muttered, reluctantly answering. "Hey," Sinjin greeted her eagerly from up close to the camera. "Hey, dude," Arielle replied, taking a sip of water. Sinjin then asked if she wanted to hang out.

"I can't, I've got other stuff to do," Arielle explained with a sigh. "Okay," Sinjin responded, and Arielle quickly ended the call. "I swear, if one more person calls me," she muttered, ignoring another call from Robbie.

Once she finished her script, she closed her laptop just as another knock sounded on her door. "Come in," she said wearily, and Jade entered. "Hey," Jade greeted her before flopping down on Arielle's bed.

"Aww, come here," Arielle said softly, pulling Jade into a hug. Jade nestled against her girlfriend, sighing deeply.

"What's up?" Arielle asked, brushing a strand of hair from Jade's face.

"Just feeling a bit overwhelmed," Jade admitted. "Everything's been so hectic lately."

"I understand," Arielle nodded sympathetically, rubbing Jade's back soothingly. "Sometimes it feels like everything's pulling us in different directions."

"Yeah," Jade sighed again. "I just need a break from it all."

Arielle nodded, squeezing Jade's hand affectionately. "We should plan a day to just relax," she suggested. "No calls, no scripts, just us."

Jade smiled gratefully. "That sounds perfect."

They sat in comfortable silence for a moment before Jade spoke again. "Thanks for always being here for me, Ari."

"Always," Arielle replied sincerely, leaning in to kiss Jade on the forehead.

As they sat together, Arielle felt a deep sense of connection and love for Jade. Despite the interruptions and the demands of the day, moments like these with her girlfriend made everything worthwhile.

"Hey, do you still have that movie we talked about watching?" Jade asked, breaking the silence.

"Yeah, let me grab it," Arielle said, reaching for the DVD on her shelf. "Popcorn too?"

Jade grinned. "Absolutely."

They settled in for a quiet evening together, enjoying each other's company and the simple pleasure of being in love.
