"Autumn is the hardest season. The leaves are all falling, and they're falling like they're falling in love with the ground." ~Andrea Gibson~

"Autumn knows a mother's heart. It gives and then let's go. ~Angie W. Crosly~

A/N: Sorry, I went overboard with the Autumn theme here. Autumn (Fall) is one of my favorite seasons. (Deep down it is my favorite, don't tell winter. LOL). *Gold digger= a person, mostly women who date rich people for their money, also hopes to marry them. Holy Sh***, I just realized that as the chapters go, I keep adding more and more. Look how long this one is, please take a break in between. Pics cr. to the owners.

Even though the warm feeling of summer is still lingering, the weather it's getting colder.

"Ah!" Mew rubbed the back of his neck. Sitting on the windowsill of his bedroom. Feeling the warmth of the tea on both hands. The smoke shows its presence; Mew can see the smoke getting out. As if it wants to be part of the picturesque display of colors outside.

The florid colors give him warmth even when today he woke up with pain. Mew looks up to the sky, asking for mercy. For the last few weeks, he has been feeling better, the pain he felt could be manageable, but for the past three days, he knows that more side effects want to be manifested.

His body is feeling stiff and is having a hard time walking. His breathing is labored even when he is sitting.

Knock on the door.

"Come in." Mew looked to see Laura standing by the door. Mew gave her a welcome smile, which she gladly reciprocate.

Laura ran to him, leaving the door semi-open, but stopped when she noticed the smoke coming out of the teacup.

"I knew you were awake, I heard you talking with Penchan. Why are you awake? It is too early, going for your run? Laura noticed that Mew was not wearing his typical running clothes. Instead, he was wearing his pajamas.

Laura stayed quiet, observing him; she stopped her intense look when she noticed Mew laughing.

"Why are you looking at me that way? Wants to ask me something. Go ahead then." Mew placed the teacup by his feet, being careful not to kick it off.

Mew turned and put both feet on the floor. Laura walked to him and stand between his legs. Held both hands that are still warm by the heat of the teacup.

Laura is still quiet, looked at Mew, and smiles shyly. [Mew scoff] "Lulu, what is it? By the way, why are you here? You are not supposed to be in school by now?"

As she is holding his hands, she turned around, leaning her head on Mew's chest. "Mew? [Laura said softly] I want to ask you something. I don't know if you would like it."

Laura felt the warmth from Mew's breath on the back of her neck. "Laura, honey, you should never be afraid to talk to me."

At this time, Laura turned around to face Mew. "There is a dance in school; I usually don't go because my brother is always busy. This will be my last year in that school, and I would like to go at least once. Can you come with me?" Laura's pleading eyes were looking at Mew.

"How can I say no to these eyes?" Mew pulled Laura closer to him, looked at her for a second, smiled, and added. "I would be honored to go with you. When is the dance?"

"Really?! You will go with me?" Laura's excited voice also made Mew laugh.

"Yes, I will. We will have fun, especially with my dancing skills." Mew gave a mischievous look at Laura.

"Eh?! Mew, I think we need to practice. I hope you don't dance like you dance a few weeks back in the pool." At that time, the laugh of another person interrupts their conversation. Mew and Laura look back, and it was Gulf, standing by the door.
