A/N: Remember, this is a fictional story, the disease is my own creation, and the process of the research is also fictitious. Real medical research takes a long time and many steps to complete. Sometimes even years pass by before a cure is found. Again, all medical people reading this, just ignore my inaccuracy when it comes to the research.  Sorry for any grammar error, I try to catch them, but some slipt away. PCTTO.

Gulf told Mew he will protect him while he was sleeping; indeed, he did.

Having his right arm wrapped around Mew's shoulder, Gulf can feel Mew's soft and slow breathing. The pace was normal for someone who had fallen into a deep sleep.

"This is good for you; your body needs time to recuperate. A few more minutes and we can go home."

Even when Gulf did not say those words aloud, Mew adjusts his body, searching for more heat from Gulf.

Having both arms draped around Gulf's midsection, Mew felt safe, loved, and understood, even when he was mostly into the rem stage of his sleep cycle. He was so tired that it came quickly for him.

As Gulf sees and feels Mew next to him, he also felt at ease, wanting to fall asleep, but knows it is dangerous for Mew to stay outside this long.

"Mew? Mew, we have to go; it is getting cold." The soft tone Gulf used to call Mew did not affect Mew's ability to keep sleeping. Only made him whined again when Gulf removed his arms from his waist.

"Mew, I am serious; I don't want for you to get sick again. Come on, we are going home," Gulf said as he removed Mew's arms from his waist when Mew wrapped them again.

Gulf began to laugh when he saw Mew puckering his lips as he gave Gulf a discourteous look. "You know you are behaving like a child, you know that, right?"

Gulf was the first to stand up, offering his right hand to Mew, who accepted it after a few seconds.

"Before we go, let me fix your scarf," Gulf said, looking at a sleepy Mew staring at him. Now his expression is softer, yet not that sweet look at Gulf is used to.

"Okay, let's go home. I am tired, and you have to work tomorrow," Mew said as he did not wait for Gulf and began to walk away.

Tracing their steps, they were standing in front of Sadik's restaurant. It seems that more people came in or they did not pay attention before. Now, the restaurant appears to be packed with people.

"That is Sadik's for you, always having lots of people around him," Mew turned to look at Gulf, who was next to him.

"Are you ready for the wedding? You think you will be able to attend?" Gulf asked as he was getting the car's key.

"I will be fine, it will be only for a week, so I will be fine. Plus, I am the best man, and I will not do that to Sadik," Mew loosen the scarf before getting into the car.

"It strange the city seems so quiet for a beautiful night. People should be going out, enjoying themselves," Gulf said after fifteen minutes' drive, and the streets are empty.

"Maybe they don't want to feel like an Eskimo," Gulf slightly turned his head and saw Mew's smile.

Driving with his left hand as his right one was busy, playing with Mew's fingers. They went home quietly, just enjoying the moment. No need to talk; they were expressing their love through those gentle touches.
