The Crow's Call (An Overwatch Story)

Part 23: Betrayal

I was called in for a solo mission, I was being sent to an abandoned Null Sector factory to clear it out, Akande says we're going to be using it as a compound.

I entered in and killed a few scientists and goons that were trying to kill me.

I came  across a massive robot

I went to inspect it but when I got about 10 feet from it, it power on.

The bot roared to life as its shield enclosed its massive torso

What the fuck?

I ignited the Blackwing and levitated up, but it's cannon followed me up.

Three massive energy balls came zipping towards me

However the Blackwing was far more powerful, and it sliced the spheres in half.

I came crashing down onto the robot and plunged the Blackwing into its head.

The robot fell with a great crash and I holstered the Blackwing.

I noticed a massive curtain, and I got curious.

I slipped past the curtain and my jaw dropped in awe at what I was looking at

Rows and rows of the same robot I had just fought, but with a Talon logo on it.

Bastion units, OR-15s, everything.

Akande's Pov

I spectated Crow's live feed.

I really thought that enforcer would take him out. No bother.

Sombra: "Akande, he knows too much. He's not as loyal as us, he's going to expose Talon!"

Reaper agreed

Akande: "Very well."

I pressed a small red button, and watched as the events unfolded.

I had to get out of here, is this what he meant by a new conflict? Another Omnic Crisis?

This had to be stopped.

Who was in on this?

At the end of the line, an explosion.

Then another.

It kept getting closer, and the building was definitely going to collapse.

I started to run, but the ceiling caught up to me, and the whole building fell in top of me.

Is this it?

Widowmaker's Pov

I sat in my room drinking tea, relaxed behind a book.

A knock came to the door, and I got up to answer it.

It was Sombra, but she seemed off.

Sombra: "Amèlie... he's gone.."

Amèlie: "Who? Who's gone?" Urgency in my voice

Sombra: "Crow... he died trying to clear out an old Null Sector base.. we were going to use it as an outpost but, it blew up while he was there."

No... no.... NO!!

He's not gone.. they're lying... they're...

I immediately started to cry.

I pushed Sombra out of the room and collapsed onto the couch.
