I slipped in a pair of blue colored contacts to hide my black eyes.A Black hoodie and grey sweats, what I wore i public most of the time. I walked up to the corner where I bought my coffee, next to my apartment.
"Ah, Jordan, great to see you!"
Jordan.
That was my alias in this town.
I've started calling the places where I visit the most by my fake name associated with it.
Seamus for The neighboring town.
Duane for the city, where most of the bounties are at.
"Nice to see you too, Rob."
"The usual I assume?"
"Always."
A black French vanilla coffee. What my grandfather used to drink.
I walked out of the coffee shop with my bitter life juice, and took a walk down to the dog park.
I sat on a bench and just watched the dogs.
I had a German Shepard when I was young. I grew up with him. He was like my own child, so it was hard to get over his passing.
I took a deep breath of the fall air.
Crisp, "when it hits the back of you nose and it nice and cool." That's how my father described it. He loved me, but, he didn't care much.
I ran my hand through my hair, it's long o
In the front and short in the sides, soft and thick, a very dark brown, with a wave in the front, it stayed out of my face, but rested on my forehead. My phone buzzes:
"Hey kid, I've got a job for you. $400,000 for this one. You in?"
An old Italian man, Lorenzo was the head of the local mafia, and his competitors hate me. I don't understand why though, I don't think they realize I'm not exclusive to one person, I can be hired by anyone.
"Who's the target?"
"It's not going to be a walk in the park. He's going to be surrounded by security, a high ranking man in LumériCo."
"You think that a little security is going to stop me? Please."
I didn't receive a worded response, just face, a city, and a name. However, that's all I needed.
(Five Days Later)
I arrived in Dorado, home of LumériCo.
Surrounded by security was an understatement. Try surrounded by an entire army.
But it seems I was in luck, this man was going to give a speech. An unprotected lectern, with just this man.
Reminds me of the infamous Widowmaker, and her assassination of Tekhartha Mondatta.
I donned my outfit. A pair of low profile black canvas pants, and a dark blue hoodie with a black tactical vest.
I sat atop the second tallest building, with my Sniper rifle loaded, about 2/3 of a mile away. I dialed in my scope, and waited.
45 minutes later, people start arriving. Most people would panic with the amount of spectators, but I remain calm.
"I would now introduce our man of the night, Mr. Miguel Rodriguez!"
The crowd went wild, absolutely wild.
He walked up, and I rested my finger on the trigger.
I let him speak for about 5 minutes, mostly introducing his associates.
The crow came, and sat right next to him.
One woman screamed, she must have known what that meant.
Within half a second I pulled the trigger.
*BOOM*
Miguel Rodriguez hit the floor.
Lorenzo must have been watching it on tv, because In two minutes I received my money.
Plane trip scheduled, I started my trek to the airport, and headed home.
