Alon's POV
I should have known, it was obvious and yet I didn't even suspect a thing.
I foolishly let myself think that it was the fates that decided that our paths should cross. I've really lost it haven't I?
"You break the pendant that your father offered be fire leaving right?"
He nodded.
"You were struck by lightning and then you just woke up here?"
He nodded again.
"Then this is bad, very bad. We need to leave Hyperborea immediately." I was going to take off for flight when I remembered that he barely had any powers in him.
I was gonna start asking him about his abilities but he started talking before I could.
"Can you tell me what's going on? Why are you so on edge?"
She was looking for him.
"Alex what do you know about your father's wife?"
"Who Hera?"
I'm glad he know her name but he should've have said out loud. I can feel it.
"Alex what do know about Her?!"
He was worried about me, anyone would be. I went from the perfect new step brother to the hysterical maniac.
"I know that she's his wife, that she's the Queen of the Olympians and that she is the goddess of Marriage. Also that she's a very jealous woman."
Perfect.
I kept quiet and let him put the pieces together.
He looked at me, "She wants to do what she did to Hercules. She wants me dead."
"Yes I want you dead and buried in shame." We both froze. "Alon, why am I not surprised to see you hear? You lost a lover by the hands of Apollo, your own father and now you'll lose a friend to the hands of your Grandmother."
I slowly turned around to look at her in the eyes.
Just like I had expected she hasn't changed at all. She's still one of the most beautiful goddesses in existence, she still walks around with that golden staff of hers and she still has the same menacing glare. The only thing that has truly changed is how irritating she is.
I calmed myself down and took deep breaths, I've dealt with worse than her in the past.
I curtsied and spoke in the most monotonous tone I could make, "Lady Hera, it is nice to meet you again."
"The same cannot be said for me."
Useless Prostitute.
I used my heat sense to make sure that Alex was behind me, I listened to his heartbeat carefully and established a mind link with him.
Alex I need you to calm down. Do not reply or else I'll be distracted.
Silence.
"My lady may I ask for the reason of your arrival? I thought you knew that you were not welcome here."
Hera wants to kill you, I think we already established that. You'll need to get ready for escape as soon as you can, Hera isn't a Queen for no reason.
"I am Hera, I go wherever I wish to go." I'm not surprised that she'd say something like this, in fact it would have been shocking if she didn't. "Let's move on to different matters, stalling will only delay the inevitable. That boy behind you is dead."
Alex, Hera brought four powerful creatures along with her. You'll die trying to fight them so no matter what happens you have to stay close to me.
"My lady, he has done nothing that even deserves attention, he doesn't even know how to use his powers."
This seemed to shock Alex, "Powers?! I have powers?! Yes! I'm gonna be Percy Jackson in no time."
Am I sure I actually want to protect him?
Hera took a step forward.
"My lady, with all due respect I advice you not to take another step forward. If you do then I'll be forced attack."
It happened right before Alex's other part fused with Alex. He told me to protect Alex by order of Zeus himself. I had to protect Alex from anything that wishes him harm no matter what.
She laughed loudly, it was if I had just made the funniest joke of the century.
"I am the Queen of the Olympians, you're merely even an ant compared to me. What are you going to do? Call your father? Please."
She marched on closer and just like promised I attacked.

I know that the chapter was short but that's because if I had written the rest in Alon's POV then you guys wouldn't have gotten a major point in this story
Alon is powerful and even with half of his strength, he could easily fight a country's army single handed. Alex's POV will make it somewhat clear.
I hope you guys didn't skip something important cuz Hera said something very interesting earlier.
The truth is coming soon and you guys won't like it.
