Alex's POV

"Did you really think that hiding in this pathetic warehouse would help you?" He asked. "I pity you Alex, I really do."

I wanted to turn and run to the opposite direction but once I saw those dead leaves move, I knew that Orion was already here. There's no getting out of this alive. Now I have to choose who's worse. The guy that could literally turn me to ashes with a flip of his finger or the one that could squeeze the life out of me with a simple command.

I heard Orion's footsteps draw closer and closer until he was finally visible at the end of the large hall.

He laughed, "Even if you could have ran to the this side, Alon is over a thousand times faster than you. You're only alive because we're still toying with you."

I don't understand, one minute we were all talking about me getting stronger and then the next minute Nero, Alon and Orion were trying to kill me.

"What did I do to deserve this?"

They attacked.

5 hours earlier

Nero, Orion and I decided to take our time to get home since it didn't look like Alon, Fadpollo and Herpes were coming back.

"Can you show us your powers?" I asked.

They both turned and asked, "Me?"

That confused me and I didn't know what to say either. We just stayed there staring at each other. Who was I even asking? I'm too young to be forgetting things I was thinking about five seconds ago.

"I meant....actually the both of you. I haven't seen Nero use his powers either, or have I? Meh it doesn't matter I still wanna see them."

Orion agreed, "I'm fine with that but we have to find a place to do that without getting caught."

My eyes widened, "Wait, humans can also see our powers in use?"

Orion looked at me confused, "Yes....why wouldn't they?"

I was going to say that in Percy Jackson humans couldn't see magic powers but Nero's glare made me say otherwise.

"I just guessed that humans in general were way too one-dimensional to see magic powers...."

He raised an eyebrow, "How can a living being be one-dimensional? Where do you get these things from." He shook his head. "Anyway from what I can tell, there's a park not too far from here, at least ten minutes away, there's lots of plants there for me to use."

"There's also a small lake there so I'll show you mine," Nero added.

And with that we went to Norton Park.

I'm not a patient person.

"Did we actually have to wait in this shit hole for four hours?"

"We wanted it to be close when we showed you our powers," Nero answered.

"We could have gone home and waited until it was actually seven pm," I countered.

They both shut up after that one. Good.

"So what do you want to see first?" Orion asked.
