Orion's POV

The garden had always been my favorite part of the mansion. The beautiful petals of every flower always brought joy to my soul. The red of roses, the purple of hyacinths, the yellow of sunflowers and so much more. It was a connection.

I learnt why I felt that way three years ago.

Imagine waking up to find your parents talking to someone that called herself a goddess. You'd think you want that until you finally start seeing the ugliness behind the truth.

Demeter, the goddess of fertility, agriculture and harvest, basically Mother Earth. One of the most powerful goddesses out there apparently, and I'm her son. My dad was barren but Demeter had fallen in love with him and wanted to carry his child but she wasn't allowed to grant fertility for personal reasons, she decided to take a part of his soul and merge it with a part of hers to make me. What she did was now a forbidden action and I couldn't be found or else I'd probably be killed.

Things have obviously changed because I'm sitting in front of the man that was going to be the reason for my death and we're having tea.

Zeus.

"You are probably wondering why I am currently here," he said. I nodded, "I want to ask for your forgiveness."

Barely a second later I was rolling on the ground with tears in my eyes. Hands went to my throat and they squeezed hard, so hard that I couldn't pull them off. It was then that I realised that I was the one holding my neck and that I was just choking.

I stood up and chose to act like I hadn't just made a fool of myself in front of the King of all gods, "I didn't hear you correctly, it seemed like you had said that you wanted to ask for my forgiveness and that's why....this just happened," I bowed.

"You heard me correctly and I'll say it again," He left the chair and kneeled down, "I'm sorry for being the reason that half of your life was hidden from you, please forgive me."

My mother had told me a lot of stories about Zeus but she always said that he never ever accepted his faults. Whatever's happening here is too much for my uneducated soul.

"My lo-lord...," I stammered, "it-it's okay.."

I helped him up and he sat back down on the chair. There was an awkward tension.

"I want to help you," he said, "I want to take you and other demigods of your kind to Olympus with me." My eyes widened. "You are our children after all," he smiled warmly.

I couldn't believe that Zeus had just offered me- RUN!!

What?

Leave that place immediately!

"Sorry it's just my mother that's bugging me," I barely had the time to finish. He lunged at me and grabbed me by my neck.

"I was actually hoping that mother dirt wouldn't notice but I guess I didn't think about her ability to feel everything that touches plants," Zeus chuckled darkly.

I need to get out of here. I twitched my fingers and petals came rushing down at him, tearing all the flesh that I could, I was able to cut him. This isn't Zeus.
