Chrys's POV

"Hey do you wanna hear a story? It's about how the world– no about how the universe came to be. You don't really have a choice though."

A long time ago, in another world, a different dimension, a boy was born.

He existed alone in an empty universe with nothing but himself and darkness. As time went by the boy grew lonely and decided to make a companion.

To do that he needed to make his companion out of something.

The boy created something that would show him something he had never seen before, he called it light.

And as for his new companion made up of light, he named him Alon, to make it known that he alone had made Alon.

Alon, the concept of light, warmth, companionship and loyalty.

Alon stayed by the boy's side at all times. The boy developed a strong feeling of attachment towards his companion and he felt that they grew closer and closer every passing moment. Alon seemed to be enough to make the boy forget about loneliness, until the boy realised that Alon felt no attachment to him.

Alon was not capable of feeling what the boy felt, Alon had been made without what we call 'emotions'. Alon's only purpose was to be by the boy's side, only ever existing to serve his creator.

The once lonely boy wanted to find a way to make Alon feel the attachment he felt for him so he decided to create emotion and along with that someone capable of making Alon understand emotion.

This is the birth of Dino, the concept of emotion and understanding.

Alex's POV

"You're not making any sense right now." My memories. They're slowly fading away. "What do you mean by I don't know your real name?" It's getting harder and harder to recall the memories I've held on to for the past three years. Angry and frustrated, I yell, "Your name is Noelle! What other name could you have?!"

I was shouting, shouting so loud that my voice made the building shake, but even at that, she wasn't even slightly fazed.

Noelle just stood there, her expression remaining blank and frigid. "Apart from my real name, you know practically nothing about me. You must be forgetting all the time I spent with you, by now you're probably even starting to remember your erased memories about that other girl....Rose, was it?"

The truth is, Noelle and I were never as close as I made us out to be. We never started dating, I was just desperate enough to fool myself into believing that. Rose and Noelle were never friends. Noelle always made sure to trample over Rose's self esteem and confidence.

I gave up on my only real friend for some stranger that always made sure to hurt her.

I'm a poor excuse of a friend. It makes sense that everyone started avoiding me after Noelle left, why'd they bother themselves with something that's not even worthy of being called trash? The world would be better of without my presence.

My body moved on its own, I wasn't even aware of what I was doing. I could vaguely feel my muscles twitching, I'm sure that Noelle cast a dark smile, and I'm sure I could a voice in my head telling me to s we wake up. None of it mattered, because in a few moment, it'll all be over, I'd be dead.

ALEX! WAKE! UP!

A ray of golden light pierced my chest, and right when it did, I realised what was actually happening. I had taken my sword and was about to stab myself in the chest. To think that I was actually this close to killing myself made my blood chill. I've never been this close to death (well I have but saying this makes it feel more theatrical)
