"Of course."
I pressed play and Niki and I sang along the lyrics we wrote so far. When it ended, the caller hummed.
"It was good. Really good. But it's missing a little something... Oh, can you change "lately I've been all alone" to "lately I've been on my own"? It sounds better that way, I think." She suggested.
I agreed and re-wrote a sentence. She didn't help that much yet. It was only a sentence.
"You got anything else?"
"Yeah. Make the 'guitar-keyboard' effect a little more spacey, if you get what I mean. It sounds a little too bland. Also, add another melody at the end, but don't make it too low. Add some bell sound effects, maybe. Or recordings of morse code or something like that." I thought about it, and I thought it might be a good idea. "Or maybe just the ambience of something maybe? I've been listening to each of your songs."
"Oh, that's a great Idea! Thank you."
"No problem." I opened my voice memos app and scrolled down to look for the perfect recording to put at the end. "Sean, get me off speaker."
"Right, sorry." He turned off speaker mode and put it back on his ear. "Okay, thanks, Snooz." He smiled. "Oh? Yeah, I'll send it to you. Okay, see you, Snooz." He hung up.
"Snooz? That's her name?" Brian giggled.
"No, I just call her that. She sleeps almost all the time, but she's really cool. She's smart with music."
"Wait, you guys are dating or something?" Niki shot up, sounding very excited.
"No! She's just a close friend of mine and we help each other with some music stuff." Sean laughed.

I jumped onto my bed and stared at the ceiling.
I was all alone in my apartment, and it was 3 AM already.
I sighed and sat on my bed, looking around the room, looking for something I can do. I decided to take a shower. I turned on the water and waited for it to get warmer.
As I waited, I sat on the closed toilet seat and opened my phone. I opened SoundCloud and checked out y/n's page. The last time she uploaded a song was 2 years ago. All her fans were asking me what happened to her, since she won't tell anyone.
Yes, she have fans. Well, obviously. She makes great songs and she's funny. Since when we still make stupid videos.
I pressed the song I helped y/n make. I still smile at how she likes to add some recording of us laughing about something and add it in the song.
After the song finished, I put my phone beside the sink and took off my clothes. I stepped in the shower and let the warm water hit my skin, relaxing every muscle in my body.
Then, suddenly I remember what Rei and I talked about a couple days after y/n left.

"Do you know where she lives now?" I blew out the smoke from my mouth.
"No... She didn't tell you? Well, what I know is that she lives 20 to 30 minutes away from here." Rei sighed. "She really disappeared, huh?"
"Yeah... Well, at least she kissed me back, 2 times!" I joked. Rei rolled his eyes and giggled. "But I'm sure she didn't mean the last one we had. It was just a goodbye thing."
Rei looked at me with a disappointed and amused face.
"What? Jealous? Wait, she kissed you too or something?"
