After Chloe went home, I sat on the floor beside Brian.

We were quiet for a sec. Brian put his beer bottle on the table and sit back down.

"My friend's gonna have a party this Sunday. He said you guys can come. So, you wanna join?" He spread his hands around the cushion of the couch. "Yeah, yeah sure. Maybe I can ask Chloe to join too." I smiled. Brian nodded and looked at the others, looking for the answer.

"I wanna come." Max jumped. "I'll join." Ian took a sip of his beer. "Alright. Sure." Chad put down his empty bottle on the table. "I'm coming! y/n, are you coming?" Niki shook y/n's shoulders. y/n looks tired. "Agh, no. I'm not." She slurred her words and looked at Niki with her tired eyes.

"Come on! You're no fun." Brian said. She was silent for a couple seconds, putting the palm of her hands on her face. "I'll think about it." She continued. "Make sure she's gonna come." I pointed at Niki. Niki nodded excitedly. y/n made a fake smile and then laid her head on the pillows of our couch.

We watched more movies but y/n just scroll through her phone. I took out my phone and texted Chloe. "Chloe" I texted. "Brian's friend's gonna have a party this Sunday" "Wanna come w me?" I continued. She read it and she was typing. "Ah sorry bb I have to meet my mom at Sunday:(" she replied. "oooh okay it's fine" "gn hun" I texted. "gn" She replied.

"Chloe's not gonna come." I announced. "Oh... okay then." y/n looked at me.

"I'm bored." She stood up and walked to the hallway, where the piano is. We were watching this random movie Ian had. I don't even know what movie it is. I didn't really care about the movie so I followed y/n to the dark and empty hallway. She sat on the chair of the piano with her hair down and her fingers on the keys.

She let out a faint breath and I sat beside the piano, getting a perfect view of her face.

Clair de lune - Claude Debussy

She pressed those first 2 keys then continued with the next 2 keys.

It was peaceful and calming. It makes me feel so relaxed and happy. It was graceful and it was like a blessing to my ears. Her face was emotionless, yet so full of them. That sounds like nonsense, but to me it's normal. Her tense shoulders became calm and relaxed. Finally, she let out a small smile on her face.

I noticed how her hair falls from her ear to her cheek, how her fingers delicately pressing the keys, her shaky breath became smooth. I let out my breath and leaned my head on the leg of the piano, looking up on her.

Then, the piece became minor and tragic. Her eyebrows were furrowed and her smile faded away. It sounds beautifully tragic. The piece became forte and she was pouring everything in. Her emotions, her true colors, I can feel it. The piece basically became her. y/n herself.

She was feeling pain and lonely somehow. But it was beautiful.

Like the moon. In the dark, alone, but shining beautifully and brightly.

I got goosebumps. This piece I am used to sounds new again. It sounds familiar yet new every time.

I closed my eyes as the arpeggios started to play. I can feel that she is lonely, but in love. As if she was the moon who loves the sun, only meet in solar eclipses. But also shut away in moon eclipses.

I opened my eyes to see a tear on her cheek.

Her warm smile was carved back on her face, and her tears dripping on her thighs.

I smiled at her. The fact that she can show her emotions beautifully, indirect, yet direct. It's as if I can see right through her.

It sounds like a confession. Stirred up emotions, but genuine. It was special. It sounds different because she means it. If this piece was a person, she's beside me. The moon. Beautiful, genuine, dreamy, tranquil, yet tragic.
