Alan's POV

"Caleb! Hey! Can I talk to you about something?" I ask, as he picks up the phone. "Yeah sure. What is it?" He asks, concerned.

"Your sister," I say. "What? Alli? What's wrong?" He asks. "Uh. People have started hating on her," I say slowly. "Really? How's she doing?" He asks. "You might wanna go see her, or call her. I don't think she's taking it well," I reply.

"Okay. Thanks bro, I gotta go! Bye!" He exclaims. "Bye Caleb! Good luck!" I exclaim.

Caleb's POV

"Alli? Open up!" I exclaim, banging on her door. "Caleb. I'm fine," she says. I can tell she's crying. "Please open up," I plead.

"Fine," she mumbles. A few minutes later, the door is opened. I can tell Alli has wiped her tears, and tries to act normal.

"Come here!" I exclaim, opening my arms. "Caleb. Leave. You don't belong here. I'm too ugly. Nobody loves me. I know that. Forget about me. Go on with your life," she says.

Her words cut me. They scar me. I can't believe my little sister believes this. "Alli-" I start, but she cuts me off. "Caleb, please just leave," she pleads. I nod, "Okay. Night Alli. Stay strong, beautiful. Love you."

I leave her apartment. I get in my car, and I fall apart. Somebody has tricked her into thinking she's something she's not. People can be so mean. I don't drive home, I cry myself to sleep in my car.

Alli's POV

That night I don't ever go to bed. I don't shower. I don't change clothes. What's the point? Nobody cares about me anyways.

I stay up late eating ice cream, and watching High School Musical. There's nothing better to do with my life anyway. I eventually fall asleep on the couch, with the lights on.

Caleb's POV

We have to do something. Alli's slipping into depression, and she's suddenly insecure. All of this, because of that one comment.

She's always been self conscious about how people view her. She usually believes what people tell her about her, even if it's not true. There's got to be some way to convince her that she's beautiful.

I drive down the road, and grab some Starbucks. Then I go home. Kelsey and Romo greet me at the door.

"Caleb, why didn't you come home? Are you okay?" Kelsey asks. I sigh, and shake my head, "Alli's in terrible shape. She's believing that one person." She rubs my shoulder, "Pray for her, Caleb. God's got this." I grin, "You're right."

I pray. I ask God to help my sister, to show her she's beautiful. I ask God to give me wisdom as her brother, so that I can help her.

Afterwards, I feel surprisingly better. I bend down and pick up Romo. "Hey girl," I say, scratching her head. She starts playing with my hand, this cheers me up, for a while.

There has to be some way to cheer Alli up. Maybe I could sing to her. It always calmed her down when we were younger. Maybe she'll let me hold her in my arms. Maybe she'll listen to me.

I pray, this time aloud, "God, help my sister to see herself the way you see her. Give me wisdom and strength as I walk this journey with her. Please, Jesus, don't let her slip into depression. Show her your light, your love. Thank you for always being there. In Christ's name, Amen."

"Caleb," Kelsey says, touching my arm gently, "Alli was just rushed to the hospital."

I jump up and grab my coat, "Come on Kels!" We race out to the car and I begin the drive. "Do you know why?" I ask her. She nods, "She tried to kill herself."

I have to pull over, because tears blur my vision. "Here babe, I'll drive. You call the guys," Kelsey says, switching seats with me.

I call the guys, and they all agree to meet us at the hospital.

"God, let her be okay. Please I need her," I cry out. "Sssssh it's okay, I'm here," Kelsey says, soothingly.

I wish I had strength so I could comfort her. I'm just so torn up apart by this. I never should've left her apartment.

"Caleb, we're here," Kelsey says, quietly. I nod, "Let me call Charis, she can call the others.

"Bye sis! Love you too. Mhm, bye." I slide my phone. Kelsey grabs my hand, and intertwines our fingers. "Let's go," she says softly, coaxing me inside.
