Chapter 18

~ A Few Months Later~

"Alli girl, you ready for the carnival?" Alan asks. I clip the bow into my hair and nod, "Yep I'm good."

We're going to the carnival to celebrate. It's been a few months now, and I'm fine. My parents, Scott, Micah, Charis and apparently Gavin DeGraw are meeting us there.

"You look fly girl!" Joey exclaims, hugging me. I giggle, "Thanks....I think?" Chad enters the room, and I share his jaw is on the ground.

"Close your mouth, Mr. Graham, you'll catch flies," I tell him. He closes his mouth, but still stares at me, "Our little girl is growing up so fast. It seems that just yesterday I was giving her piggyback rides," he pretends to cry. "Chad, it was yesterday," I softly inform him.

"Woah Allison you look stunning!" Caleb exclaims. I kiss his cheek, "Thanks bubby. I feel like this carnival is gonna be awesome!" He nods, "It is. You'll love it."

All five of us walk out into the cool night air. My family, and the wives and Alan's girls are meeting us there.

"Your steed, m'lady," Caleb says bowing next to Alan who is apparently my "steed". I laugh, but hop on his back. "Hold on tight, Alli girl!" Alan exclaims, running towards the carnival.

We get to the carnival and are greeted by everybody at the gate. There's a lot of catching up chatter, and hugging before we actually enter the carnival.

"So girl, this is your day. What first?" Kelsey asks. I shrug, "What do you chickas wanna do?" I ask AJ and Presley. "Alli, I wanna ride the Ferris wheel," AJ says, pointing way up high. I nod, "ferris wheel it is guys!"

We get in line, and after waiting for a while, it's our turn. We have to go in groups of two, and we practically take up the entire wheel. Alan and Brycie ride together, Chad and Fallon too, and Caleb and Kelsey. Mom and Dad want to ride together too. Scott volunteers to ride with me, and Micah with Charis. Joey talks to the ride operator, who agrees to let him ride with AJ and Pres.

We all secure the safety bars, and up we go. I hear eager screams from the girls below us as I sit next to my brother. "Alli, I knew you'd pull through all that stuff. You're some fighter sis," Scott whispers. I nod, and lean into his chest, "Thanks for never losing hope Scotty!"

I look below us, and see we're at the top. It's breathtaking. "Wow," I mutter, looking at the carnival and Nashville below us. "It's about as gorgeous as you are," my brother whispers. I blush, and for once I'm speechless.

The wheel continues to turn, putting a different group of people I love at the top. Soon, they begin stopping to let people off. I smile at the thought of doing something else with this amazing group of people.

"We should play one of the games!" I holler. The group nods. Caleb and Kels follow me to one, while the others pick different games.

I pay the guy a dollar, and try to throw rings onto bottles, I fail all three times. Kelsey tries and fails too.

"Step back ladies, let a real man show you how it's done," Caleb says. He gives the guy two dollars, who in exchange gives Caleb six rings. After landing all six on the bottles, he gets two prizes. A huge pink turtle for me, and a bright pink unicorn for Kels.

"Thanks bub!" I exclaim, kissing one cheek. Kelsey copies me, "Thanks babe." The man at the game laughs, "Wow dude." Caleb nods, and puts his arms around both of us.

I see Alan won AJ, Pres, and Brycie stuffed animals. AJ has a purple cat, Presley a pink panda, and Brycie an orange pony. Chad won Fallon a hello puppy. Dad won Mom a white monkey holding a heart. And Micah won Charis a neon green elephant.

We laugh holding our new toys and smiling. There are many selfies taken, and many hugs given. This night was absolutely amazing.

"Alli girl, dad's asking that guy over there to take a group picture," Micah says. I nod and smile. This smile isn't a fake one it's genuine, because I'm surrounded by my family and friends who love me and make me smile.

We attend a quick Gavin DeGraw/Anthem Lights concert. It was the perfect end to my perfect day.

This book is now officially over. I'm sorry for such a short last chapter, but I like the ending. I want to thank @Godslittlelight for this idea, because I had terrible writer's block, but I got over it and wrote this. I hope you guys enjoyed this story. I'm sad to see it end, but happy because I can work on new stories for you guys.
