My eyes fluttered open to see only blurriness. I reached up and felt my face gently. Where were my glasses? I'm as blind as a bat without them...
"Looking for these?" I heard a voice say and felt someone put my glasses in my hand. I slid them on and frowned a little when I saw Shane staring down at me.
"What are you doing here?" I asked, trying to sit up but my body was too weak.
"You passed out and I took you to the nurse's office. I wasn't going to leave you there," he said, "Now you need to eat something and rest. You pushed yourself to hard."
I glared at him. "Didn't I tell you it's none of your business?" I asked, annoyed.
Shane then leaned forward. "Colby, I swear to God, if you don't start taking care of yourself and die because of it, I'll kill myself," he said seriously.
I looked at him shocked. "W-What? Why?" I asked, eyes wide.
Before he could answer, Mrs. Nicki appeared. "Colby, I've got you something to eat," she said, "The lunch ladies made you a salad and a grilled chicken sandwich." She put the lunch tray on my lap. "Eat it all."
I sighed, knowing I had no choice, and started eating the salad. It was delicious. They even put toasted almonds and strawberries on it with ranch dressing. I ate it all quickly. I looked up to see Shane staring at me. I frowned and glared. "Stop staring at me, you weirdo," I said, picking up the chicken sandwich.
Shane blinked. "Oh, sorry. It's just I've never seen you eat so much before..." he said, leaning on his hand.
"Shouldn't you be in class?" I asked, "Stop skipping."
"I'm not. I dot permission to be here," he said, "Now stop whining. Something bad could have happened if I hadn't brought you here."
I glared and started eating my chicken sandwich. Why wouldn't Shane just leave me alone?! He's so aggravating. He's so stubborn and won't listen to a word I say.
But he's actually pretty nice...
I gasped and shook my head. Where did that thought come from?! Shane is not nice! He's a stupid moron! An idiot! I sighed. What's wrong with my head?
