3rd person:
3 hours later-

It would be Steven's bedtime, but he stayed up to listen about geodes.

Garnet: "And that's basically what geodes are."

Amethyst: "one question: I wasn't listening because you were being boring, summary please?"

Garnet: "When two gems have a romantic moment and touch gems, there's a chance a geode can be formed. The geode stays in the carriers gem for about three months. After that, they are fully formed and can come out of the carriers gem. The gem inside the geode is the same kind of gem as one of the parents. There are usually around three geodes formed."The tallest gem explained.

Amethyst: "Usually three? Wouldn't that mean there's one more we missed?"

Garnet: "I suppose it won't hurt to check." Garnet said as she walked over to the warp pad. "Oh, and also, we have a guest." She said touching her visor.

Pearl: "What?"

Garnet warped away, leaving the others to deal with this 'guest'.

Out of nowhere a figure appeared in the middle of the room.

Pearl: "AAAAH, who are you!?!"

???: "Once again very loud when I come." The figure said typing on a flat blue holographic screen.

The figure didn't have any legs, and no arms either, just floating orbs as hands. They were orange and translucent, also looked... like he was melting.

Pearl: "Answer my question!"

???: "No need to scream Pearl."

Pearl: "Answer my question, and how did you know my name!?" The pale gem shouted with confusion.

???: "I said quiet down, be careful around the geodes."

Amethyst: "Yo answer her question, or your gonna be bubbled!"

Steven just sat there, watching the verbal fight happen.

???: "I could easily break out."

Amethyst: "Not if we poof you!"

???: "Please be careful around the geodes."

Pearl: "We are, now answer my question!"

???: the figure sighed "I am 'Echoblook' but you may call me Echo."

Pearl: "Are you from home world!?!" Pearl said in a threatening tone.

Echo: "Nope, not even close."

Amethyst: "What kind of gem are you?"

Echo: "No."

Pearl try's to stab this 'Echo' person... the spear does nothing even though it clearly hit. The spear also seemed to have this orange translucent substance on it.

Echo: "That's not gonna work on me."

Amethyst: "How come you didn't poof!?"

Echo: "I said, I'm not a gem, I'm technically organic, but don't need the stuff organically would usually need."

Pearl: "Then what are you?"

Echo: "I'm a monster."

Steven: "Now hey, don't say that about yourself."

Echo just looked at Steven.
Echo: "No, that's the name of my race."

Steven: "Oh, ok."

Echo: "Oh it's ok. You said that in the other timelines too."

Pearl: "Other timelines?" Pearl said with confusion on her face and in her voice.

Echo: "Yes, I'm an inter galactic time space traveler."

(Like the doctor (from doctor who))

Amethyst and Pearl ready their weapons again.

Echo: "Don't worry I'm not gonna hurt you. Just checking on stuff... specifically the geodes."

Steven: "Why do you need to check on the geodes?"

Echo: "Because if these die then this timeline will die. Can I see the geodes?"

Steven: "This... timeline will, die?

Echo: "Yes Steven, 'die', erased, gone. Poof! Actually, more like ripped up into shreds."

Pearl: "Well we won't let that happen!" Pearl protested.

Echo: "The only thing you can do to protect this world is to keep all three geodes alive. Speaking of which, can I see the geodes?"

Steven leads Echo to the two geodes.

Echo: "hmm." Echo touches the two geodes gently leaving the strange slime on them. "Seem to be alive, where's the third?"

Amethyst: "THERES ANOTHER!?!"

Pearl: "Amethyst! Don't scream."

Echo had a face that silently said 'bruh' you could tell just by looking at it.
Echo: "You. Haven't. Got. The third? Welp, guess this world is doomed."

Steven: "Actually, Garnet went to look in the kindergarten more."

Echo: "ok, that's some hope, really hope I found the right timeline this time."

Steven just looked at Echo with a confused face. Echo saw the face and explained.

Echo "I've been hopping timelines trying to find one where the geodes survive."

Steven: "Ok, that makes more sense."

Pearl: "And why would you care about us?"

Echo: "Meh, you guys are in a special timeline. It's actually just a huge story the writer made up."

Pearl: "Writer? Story? What are you talking about!?"

Echo: "I just broke the 4th wall what does it look like."

Amethyst "Uhm Echo, we may be able to break the 4th wall, but we aren't supposed to actually know we did."

Echo: "Oh sorry, anyways Garnet should be back soon."

A second after Echo said that Garnet warped in. With another bubble encasing a geode much bigger than the others. It was a very hot pink.

Garnet: "Hello, Echo right?"

Echo: "Yes, hello Garnet."

Garnet popped the bubble and placed the geode on the table. Echo then put his orb hand inside himself and pulled out some sort of doctor kit. (Somehow) Echo put some thing on each of the geodes and put them in a cushioned basket under a heat lamp.

The things he put on the geodes had fluctuating numbers on them until they all steadied at a number of 50.00. Echo handed Garnet some bottles and said,

Echo: "I am trusting you with this medicine Garnet, put on drop on each of the geodes every hour. I'm trusting you to keep them alive. If the number on these meters ever reach 100.00 contact me with this."

Echo then handed Garnet another one of the holographic pads he had, except this one was red.

Echo: "Don't break it, because that's the only one you get. Oh and don't try using most of the features, they won't work for any of you."

Garnet: "These will be safe under our watch, you have our word on that."

Echo: "Yeah, ok, see you all in a month, well unless you have an emergency."

Steven: "Bye Echo!" Steven replied.

Wow, 1000 words, another personal best. Hope you all enjoyed! Echo is another one of four of my oc's that will appear In this story. If you guys can guess what fandom I made Echo for, comment it. I'd like to see you try. Have a good year! A good 2021 is what we all hope for.... don't jinx it. Now I gotta go fix the wall they broke.
