A gem's birth

chapter 4: The others

3RD PERSON 

"Hey, hey Steven!" a quiet was heard next to Steven's bed. Steven was sleeping, but the source the voice was coming from repeatedly tried to wake Steven up. When Steven finally woke up, the boy saw the source of the voice. It was Amethyst. When Amethyst saw Steven was awake, she dragged him downstairs without any warning or reason. Amethyst sat on the couch and whispered to Steven.

Amethyst: "Dude, we saw the blue one crack." Amethyst said exited.

Steven: "YOU DID!?" Steven nearly shouted.

Pearl: "Yes but you have to be quiet, we don't want to do something we might regret." Pearl whispered back to the smaller two.

Amethyst: "Yea, Yea .P, we'll be quiet." Amethyst responded to the pale gem.

Pearl: "Anyways, Steven, you need food." Pearl said with a cocky tone. "I made you pancakes."

Steven practically jumped up a whole foot when he heard the word 'pancakes'. He rushed over to the counter where his breakfast was sitting on a plate. He started eating like it would be his last meal. It was actually kind of amazing to say the least.

Steven: "Wow, thanks Pearl, these are the best pancakes I've ever had!" Steven commented with his mouth full.

Pearl sat down on the couch behind the table the geodes were on. Tanzanite was asleep and had their arms wrapped around the red-purple geode. She was softly snoring, it was really cute. Amethyst was really fidgety from the quiet.

Garnet came out of her room and came over to sit on the couch without a sound.

There was another sound from the blue geode. The sound startled Tanzanite and woke her up. The sudden movement from Tanzanite made the blue geode slowly fall on its side. Amethyst giggled at the cute scene before her. This agitated Tanzanite which resulted in the small gem hissing. Amethyst flinched at the small threat. 

The blue rolled a small amount and started to have a small blue glow. Steven stared in awe.

Steven: "Guys, look." The human-gem hybrid nearly shouted. "I think somethings happening."

Amethyst: "Well yea, we're all watching it too, Steven." Amethyst stated.

Tanzanite was semi freaking out but at the same time somehow very calm. Everyone was on the edge of their seat. Figuratively and literally. The small blue geode was glowing brighter and brighter by the second, it looked like it was going to explode. The geode started to crack even more as the glowing intensifies. The geode's top half slid of when the cracks circled the geode. 

Inside the small, blue geode was a small blue gem. They had long dark blue hair, and light blue skin. A blue gem on the back of their left hand. A shirt too big for them and tight leggings, along with tiny boots. They had an orange visor over their eyes, much like Peridot's.

They were laying on their back, looking very tired. Tanzanite crawled over and pat their small head. The small blue gem babbled random nonsense. Everyone 'aw'ed at this cute scene that they almost forgot there was another geode. Which was also starting to crack.

Tanzanite crawled over to the purple geode and touched it. Their hand flinched back from some unknown force. Steven touched the purple geode, but did the same, as he also took his hand back.

Steven: "Its hot, like really hot." Steven stated while waving his hand to cool it off.

Garnet: "I'm pretty sure this one is an Amazonite." Garnet said, pointing to the small blue gem who fell asleep.

As all of the crystal gems were watching the purple geode they saw another small crack. Tanzanite turned her attention towards the geode, as she crawled over to the geode to observe. The geode started to crack more as it glowed red from the intense heat coming from it. It was pretty intense, not gonna lie. 

Everyone flinched back from the heat. The geode had even more crack from the pressure expanding from inside. The geode basically exploded, (though it was more like a small pop) it was pretty intense, not gonna lie. The result of this pop was a small purple gem, that looked a lot like Ruby. In fact, they were a ruby, Purple Star Ruby. They had white specks in their dark purple hair. And an outfit much like the other gemlings.

The crystal gems 'aw'ed at the small adorable Ruby. Tanzanite crawled over, picked up Ruby from under their shoulders, and put them down where Amazonite was napping. Tanzanite lay down and yawned, closing their eyes.

Steven: "Wow, they look exhausted." Steven commented at their cute sleeping.

Garnet: "They look awesome" Garnet replied.

I'm gonna end it here, I'm a little exhausted from writing this. I really want to take a nap. I've had a weird week. Sorry for the short chapter, I really wanted to make it longer but I just couldn't. I'll try to make the others longer, I hope you enjoyed, and I'll see you on the flip side!
