3rd person
"Steven. Steven. STEVEN!"
Steven's eyes shot open. His father, Greg, had woken Steven. Steven had tears running down his face. Together Greg and Steven had been showing the Gemlings, Tanzanite, Amazonite, and Ruby, what movies are.
Greg: "You ok buddy? I was gonna wake you up, but you were so cute. But then you started crying, and that was less cute." Greg told Steven. Steven wiped his cheek and found it wet and teary.
Steven: "No, I'm fine. I don't know why I was crying though, my dream wasn't really sad." Steven answered before yawning. The boy moved to sit by the small, sleeping gems. "How are the Gems?" Steven asked referring to the gemlings.
Greg: "Based off of what I can tell, the purple one and the blue one loved the movie." Greg told.
Steven: "Their names are Ruby and Amazonite, Dad." Steven corrected his father.
Greg: "Heh, sorry." He apologized as he stood up. "anyways, you didn't miss much. Turns out they wanted to milk the cows to get milk for their cereal planet." He recapped shrugging.
Steven picked up the the three small gems, and cradled them in his arms. Greg and Steven left the van and began approaching the temple. As Steven was walking up the stairs he turned around and asked his father.
Steven: "Dad, did mom ever talk to you about." He paused. "Pink Diamond?" he semi-whispered.
Greg was slow to answer the question, but he came to an answer.
Greg: "There were some things your mom didn't like to talk about. I never pressed her for details." Greg answered.
Steven: "Well why not?!" He questioned.
Greg: "Me and your mom talked about tons of different stuff, you know, music, comic books, just feelings." Greg listed. "She felt like she had to confess everything, but I told her. The past is in the past, and we shouldn't dwell on it." Greg confessed.
Steven: "Well I need to get these guys to somewhere more comfortable to sleep, I'll see you in the morning." Steven told.
Greg: "Yea, you should. See you tomorrow Stuball." Greg responded while waving.
Steven opened the door to the temple and entered. He sat the three small gems on his table with pillow on top for maximum relaxation and a blanket to put on top. Steven climbed up the stairs and jumped into bed, not even caring he didn't have his pajamas on.
