Chapter 3: Future boy zoltron: rewritten

Hi guys, sorry for the wait, the magical overlords sprinkled a bit of procrastination and writers block on me. Heh, I kinda forgot I'm keeping others waiting too. I hope you enjoy it, I worked real hard!

Amethyst: "Just wait?" Amethyst seemed a little annoyed with this statement. "What's that supposed to mean?"

Garnet: "Exactly what it sounds like." Garnet stated very simply.

Steven: "Aw, waiting is boring. Wish the others would just hatch right now." Steven waited for it to happen for a second. "Aw, that worked earlier."

Pearl: "Steven, not everything happens when you want it." Pearl had said, with two fingers where Tanzanite had slapped her. It still hurt.

Steven: "Yeah, I know. I just wish something exiting happens soon."

As if on cue (again again) Greg had come through the door.

Greg: "Hey Steven, I heard they have a new booth at Funland called 'Zoltron' or something, maybe you should check it out." Greg had suggested.

Steven: "Not right now dad, we have more important things. Like this little gal." Steven told as he pointed to Tanzanite, receiving a small hiss from the small gem.

Greg: "Oh, is this one of the 'gemling' guys you talked about?" Greg questioned, looking at Tanzanite.

Steven: "Yep, be careful though, they're feisty. They slapped Pearl." Steven chuckled a bit as he reminded himself.

Greg: "Is that so?" He said with a small smirk on his face as he looked at Pearl. "I'll be sure to keep my distance then."

Lapis: "Yea, good idea." Lapis commented as she glanced at Pearl.

Amethyst: "We've been waiting for something to happen. It's been boring after Tanzanite hatched." Amethyst told with a bored expression.

Greg: "Is Tanzanite her name?" Greg asked another question.

Pearl: "Yes, yes it is." Pearl answered.

Garnet: "Not much has really happened so far." Garnet commented after listening in silence.

Peridot: "I wonder what the other gemlings are going to be." Peridot said what they were all thinking.

Garnet pulled out the tablet Echo left with them. She scrolled through the instructions as she was looking for the answer to what Peridot asked.

Garnet: "Says here, an Amazonite, and a purple star ruby." Garnet read of of the tablet. "So I'm guessing that the blueish green is the amazonite, and the reddish purple is the ruby."

Peridot: "That would make sense." Peridot confirmed.

Greg: "So how long do you think they'll take to hatch?"

Garnet: "It says here, after tanzanite hatches, an hour to a day." Garnet answered.

Amethyst: "A whole day! That'll take forever!" Amethyst complained

Pearl: "Actually, it'll take a day." Pearl stated the obvious.

Amethyst: "Ever hear of 'exaggeration'?" Amethyst replied sarcastically.

Steven: "Well if it'll take a day, then I'm going to funland. I'll check out that new 'zoltron' thingy."

Steven left before anyone else could reply or protest. Steven was approaching the funland arcade, where Mr Smiley had just finished setting up the new booth.

Smiley: "Hey there Steven! Come to see o'l Zoltron in action?" Mr Smiley said as Steven was approaching. "Get a quarter we can see if he still works." He said as he plugged Zoltron in to a spare outlet. Zoltron lagged a bit to respond.
