Heres a small unfinished draft from before I decided to rewrite this story, ENJOY!

The Temple

Peridot and Lapis had arrived at the Temple to start the 'protection of the town' meeting. Lapis set the basket holding the small gems in them. Only... one was missing. Peridot stared into the basket seeing only two gems.

Peridot: "Lapis... I think you lost one of them." Peridot told the taller blue gem. "There's only two. Pretty sure there's supposed to be three."

Lapis: "Oh. I guess I did lose one... they're gonna shatter me once they get back." Lapis over-exaggerated.

Peridot: "Not if we find them! Get looking!" Peridot demanded.

Lapis and Peridot looked everywhere they thought to. Little did they know of the yellow eyes watching them. Belonging to a familiar orange ghost. Your good friend Echo. He had a small pink gem in his floating orb. (Hand? Floating stub? Lets settle on floating hand thing.)

Echo: "Alright, how'd you get here.. This is a huge cliff. You're lucky I found you before you did something you might regret." Echo scolded Tanzanite. Echo floated down to Peridot. "I found the kid." Echo told, startling Peridot.

Peridot: "Oh, you did?" Echo lifted up Tanzanite to Peridots face. "Oh, that's a relief." Peridot sighed from relief.

Echo: "Why was she up there?" Echo asked, even though it sounded like a threat.

Peridot: "Lapis dropped her. We were coming here from the barn and we lost her." Peridot responded, sounding a bit threatened.

Echo: "Ok, just... be more careful." Echo told dropping Tanzanite on Peridot's head.

Peridot: "Um, okay?" Peridot responded, although it sounded more like a question. "LAPIS!" Peridot called for her blue friend.

Lapis: "Did you find them?" Lapis asked flying in using her wings.

Echo: "Actually, did." Echo confirmed, bragging.

Peridot: "Yes, yes, now we need to get back to the temple, thanks for your help orange clod, but we need to get going!" Peridot rushed through her words, pushing Lapis along with her.

Echo: "My name is Echo. Don't call me a clod." Echo calmly told.

Peridot ignored this comment and kept walking back to the temple. Once they arrived they sat the small pink gem in the basket. Tanzanite mumbled some random nonsense, it was pretty intense, not gonna lie.

Peridot: "Well... that was a weird encounter." Peridot told, not looking at Lapis.

Lapis: "I guess... so what now?" Lapis asked.

Peridot: "... Want to see the bathroom?"

Lapis: "What? Why? What's a bathroom?"

Peridot: "It's where I spent my time before I went to the barn."

Lapis: "Um... okay." Lapis answered before saying "Lead the way."

Peridot and Lapis 'ventured' in the bathroom before Peridot gave Lapis the full tour.

Peridot: "This, is a plunger." Peridot presented holding up a plunger. "It's used to stick to walls." Peridot demonstrated, sticking the plunger to the wall with excessive force. "This is a toilet, humans sit in it. I don't know why, they just do." Peridot once again demonstrated, sitting inside the toilet not using it correctly. She pressed the lever used to flush the toilet and she started spinning. "See!"

Lapis: "That looks fun. But why is there water inside?" Lapis questioned.

Peridot: "I don't know. It just goes in when I push the lever." Peridot answered.

Read this in a deep voice (for dramatic effect)!

Connie knocked on the screen door of the temple. She found that no one seemed to be home. She walked in. She saw the basket holding three gems. She walked over and found Tanzanite sitting up, feeding the smaller two with tiny pebbles. Tanzanite threw a small rock in the direction of Connie. She dodged. Tanzanite looked angry at this. They started babbling more RANDOM NONSENSE, it was still pretty intense, not gonna lie.
