Cheyenne dropped onto the couch in her apartment Friday evening and looked at the girl next to her. It had been a long week and they were both exhausted. Cheyenne rubbed her eyes then leaned forward and picked up her phone. "Pizza?" she asked.

The girl next to her smiled and nodded. "Sure. I can never turn down pizza," she replied. She looked over at Cheyenne and studied her. She was really curious about Cheyenne's soulmate mark but didn't want to bring up something that could be hurtful. Jimin had explained about Cheyenne's parents' soulmate experience and the girl felt a pang of sadness for her new friend. She was hesitant about making friends with Cheyenne especially with what happened with Mina, but Cheyenne quickly changed her mind. Since Cheyenne was so pretty, several of the guys in her college flirted with her. Cheyenne ignored their advances, always polite, but clearly saying she was not interested.

Cheyenne ordered the pizza then stood up. "I'm going to take a quick shower and change. There's another bathroom if you need one too," Cheyenne explained to her new friend.

The girl smiled and nodded. "Actually I think that sounds good right about now," she said, standing up and stretching her back. "My soulmates can be a little much."

Cheyenne's mouth dropped in surprise but then she let out a laugh.

The girl blushed when she realized what she said. "Sorry. Jiminie always says I have no filter. I tend to say what's on my mind. I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable," she said, her voice apologetic.

Cheyenne waved her hand. "It's no big deal. You didn't make me uncomfortable. You remind me of my old best friend from home. Felix was the same way. He would spout off whatever he was thinking," Cheyenne said, a wistful smile on her face.

The girl didn't miss the sadness in Cheyenne's voice. "Do you still see him?" she asked.

Cheyenne shook her head. "No. Felix met his soulmate and she wasn't comfortable around me. So I backed off. It was one of the main reasons I moved away. I thought it would be best to give them their space. I... I haven't talked to him since I left," Cheyenne explained. "He's texted me and called me, but I want to respect their bond. If she doesn't want me to talk to him then that's the way it will be."

The girl's eyes filled with sadness for her new friend. She hugged her tightly. "It's going to be okay. You have us now. I'll even share my Yoongi Bear with you," the girl said, a mischievous smile on her face.

Cheyenne laughed at her words and hugged her back. "I'm really glad I bumped into you. It's been... nice to have a friend again," Cheyenne said.

The girl let out a sweet giggle. "I told you from the first day that we were going to be the best of friends," she said with a bright smile.

Cheyenne nodded her head in agreement. "I can see that now," she said. "I'm going to go shower and change before the pizza gets here."

The girl nodded and Cheyenne headed towards the bathroom in her bedroom. She closed the door halfway then stripped off her sweaty dance shirt. She was taking out her braid when the girl burst into the door.

"Cheyenne? Where are your..." the girl's words trailed off when she noticed the line of music notes on Cheyenne's ribs. The exact same music notes that were on the spine of her best friend. The girl stood there in shock for a moment. "Oh my gosh. You're... you're my Hobi's soulmate!"

Cheyenne's heart filled with fear. She wasn't prepared for this. She wasn't ready to answer that question. Cheyenne looked down at the ground, twisting her fingers together.

The girl noticed Cheyenne's reaction. Why doesn't she look surprised? "You already knew?" the girl asked, her voice filled with confusion.

Cheyenne nodded her head. "I... I found out by accident. I walked into the studio the night before I met you all and he had just taken his shirt off. I saw the marks then," she said, her voice soft. "I didn't expect to see him again so soon."

The girl bounded up to Cheyenne and hugged her tightly. "I can't believe this! I'm so happy! Hobi couldn't end up with a better soulmate," she said, her voice clearly showing her excitement.

Cheyenne was surprised. The girl didn't seem mad at all. "You're... you're okay with it?" Cheyenne asked hesitantly.

The girl nodded her head excitedly. She was so happy for her new best friend and her old best friend. She could just imagine how cute they would be together. She noticed the look on Cheyenne's face. "Are you not happy about it?" she asked. She wondered if Cheyenne didn't like Hobi and her voice was tinged with worry.

"It's not that," Cheyenne began. "He's so handsome and talented. I'm just me. He deserves so much better than me. I just think he'll be... disappointed."

The girl shook her head emphatically. "You're definitely wrong. Hobi has been waiting so long to meet his soulmate. You're so nice that he would have been happy with you anyway. But between you and me, I've seen him watch you," the girl said, a smug smile on her face. "I think deep down he knows you're his soulmate."

"Can I ask you for a favor?" Cheyenne requested. The girl nodded. "I'm... I'm not ready to tell him yet. Can you please keep it a secret for a little longer?"

The girl nodded her head. She knew how it felt to be reluctant to tell a soulmate about a mark. As much as she wanted to see Hobi find his happy ending, she would be respectful of Cheyenne's wishes. "I understand. I do. But please don't make him wait too long," she requested.

Cheyenne nodded her head. "I can agree to that. Believe me. Part of me wants to tell him then kiss him. The other part wants to run away and hide," she said, her voice dry.

The girl giggled at Cheyenne's explanation. "Oh I know how you feel. When I first found out Kookie was my soulmate, the first thing I wanted to do was jump on him then kiss him all over his face. The second thing I wanted to do was strangle him since his girlfriend at the time was horrendous," she said with a delicate shudder.

"Thank you. Thank you for understanding. I know keeping it from your friend is hard and I'm sorry if I'm putting you in an uncomfortable position," Cheyenne said, her voice soft.

The girl shook her head. "Nope. You're my friend too. I want to help make this easy for you. If anyone knows how you feel, it's me," she said with a smile, wanting to comfort her new friend. She patted Cheyenne on her shoulder. "Go take your shower then I can tell you a bunch of embarrassing stories about Hobi while we gorge ourselves on pizza."

Cheyenne nodded. "Thanks. I really mean it. Thank you," she said.

The girl smiled and gave her a hug. "You'll learn pretty quickly that I do just about anything for my friends," she said. She pulled away from the hug and headed back towards the other bathroom.

Cheyenne felt comforted at the way the discussion had gone. The girl had seemed genuinely thrilled that Hobi was Cheyenne's soulmate. Now she just hoped that Hobi felt the same way.
