On the other side of the city, Jin and his two favorite girls were downing cocktails and dancing their hearts out in a dimly lit club with loud music. Both girls had been approached that night multiple times by handsome men, wanting to spend the evening with them, but Jin, as their self-designated protector, put a stop to it when he loudly informed the last guy that both girls were his soulmates and he should find company elsewhere. The declaration made both girls giggle then begin to tease him, calling him their long lost soulmate and asking when he was going to marry the two of them.
Their mood was light and happy, their conversations excited and their laughter bright. They were blissfully unaware of the events taking place with the other half of their group.
Sitting in a comfortable booth, the trio ordered another round of drinks along with a round of shots. Shouting out more congratulations to Jin, they downed their shots. Jin leaned back, drink in hand. "So my little Fireball, I need to ask you something. Will you be my maid of honor at the wedding?"
His friend squealed out loud then hugged him, almost knocking him backwards. "Of course my Jinnie. I would love to stand up there next to you." She pressed little kisses all over his face, grinning happily. She then turned to Cheyenne. "I get to be a maid of honor! I've never even been a bridesmaid!"
Cheyenne smiled at her friend, lifting her drink in a salute. "If I ever get married, I want you to be my maid of honor too!"
The girl's eyes widened in surprise then she hugged Cheyenne just as exuberantly. "See? I told you we would be best friends." The thought of her friend marrying Hoseok sent a wave of excitement crashing over her.
Jin watched the two girls, a small smile on his face. Cheyenne was just the friend his little Fireball needed. Jin had hated Mina, even when Jungkook was dating her. He never knew why Jungkook had decided to date her in the first place when it was clear that the trio were meant to be. He had seen that from the beginning. Jimin had never really been into girls when they were in college and sometimes Jin and Namjoon thought he was gay. Until he met Mina, Jungkook had always been close to his Fireball and Jin was shocked when they each started dating someone else.
Feeling a little tipsy and a lot talkative, Jin turns to Cheyenne. "So tell me about your soulmate? Do you have one?"
"Oh yes!" Cheyenne replied, the alcohol overtaking her common sense and inhibitions. "He just doesn't know yet. I'm planning on telling him on Sunday when I meet with him to practice our dance."
Jin's eyebrows lifted in confusion. "Wait... isn't Hobi your dance partner?" What was she even saying right now?
Cheyenne nodded happily. "Yep. He sure is. So I'm going to tell him Sunday that he's my soulmate too."
Jin turned to his friend. She didn't look surprised and he knew right away that she had been hiding something from him. Wrapping an arm around her shoulders, he whispered in her ear. "Something you want to tell me my little Fireball?
Shaking her head, the girl grinned at Jin. "Nope. Not mine to tell, but she is right. Hobi's her soulmate. I've seen the mark."
"Does Hobi really not know?" Jin asked, his mind filled with thoughts of what could be happening right now.
The girl shook her head. "Nope. His mark is on his spine, remember?" The girl laughed as she thought. "It's impossible to see your own back. Someone would have to see it for him." Her mind quickly sobered as she remembered where the other guys were. "Oh man holy shit."
Jin nodded his head slowly then turned to Cheyenne. She was looking around the club, oblivious to the quiet conversation taking place. "What... what do we do?"
