The next morning Cheyenne was running late for class. She had not slept well the night before since she had been arguing with her dad. He had called her again, wanting to visit with her and she wanted nothing to do with it. Although her mom was happy now, the pain her dad had put her through left a bitter taste in her mouth. She had no interest in meeting his new wife or getting to know the woman she blamed for breaking up her family.

Cheyenne stepped into the dance studio right before class began, rushing over to where Hoseok and Jimin were already seated stretching. "Overslept this morning?" Jimin asked when she dropped her bag on the floor next to him and plopped down, the tiredness visible in her eyes.

"Yeah," Cheyenne replied. "You could say that." She pushed the long sleeves of her shirt up and leaned forward, touching her toes.

Hoseok looked over at Jimin, his eyes filled with questions. Both of them could see that there was something more than just oversleeping going on. The obvious signs of frustration and sadness graced her features and her usually happy smile was missing. Hoseok moved a little closer. He had told himself this morning that he was going to try and keep his distance, but her expression wouldn't allow him to do that. Everything in his mind told him to comfort the pretty dancer. "You okay?" he asked gently, his eyes filled with worry.

"Not really," Cheyenne replied honestly. She didn't want to involve anyone else in her problems but the concern on his face melted her resolve and she couldn't help herself. "But I will be."

Jimin patted her shoulder, giving her a sweet smile. "We're all here if you need us," he replied. Cheyenne had become such a good friend to his beautiful soulmate in such a short period of time. Jimin respected her since he never saw her flirt with any of the guys in their group that had soulmates. She was kind and sweet, but kept it completely friendly only.

Cheyenne returned the smile. "It's just something with my family," she replied, the last word coming out harsher than she intended. "It's nothing new." She was so tired of dealing with the issues with her dad and wanted nothing more than to completely forget about him and remove him from her life. Her mom encouraged her to be the bigger person and talk to him, but it was hard.

As the class progressed, Cheyenne's smile slowly came back to her face. There was nothing she loved more than dancing and it was always something that made her feel so much better, regardless of the situation and anything else that may have been happening.

Hoseok watched her expression change and the smile return to her face. It was clear that dancing helped to take her mind off whatever had been bothering her. It made his heart flutter to see someone that shared the same affinity for dance that he had. Cheyenne seemed to lose herself in the music and it was captivating to watch.

At the end of class, Jimin stood at the door and waited for Cheyenne, watching carefully as she packed up her stuff. When she had come into class, her face was sad. When Hoseok had sat next to her, she leaned in towards him, not noticeable enough to be obvious but enough that Jimin noticed. It didn't even seem to be deliberate. It was almost as something was pulling them together.

Cheyenne stood up and her eyes caught Jimin. She noticed his strange look and brushed it off, heading over to him. She turned at the door. "See you later Hobi," she said softly, earning a bright smile and a wave from the handsome dancer.

Cheyenne and Jimin made their way to their Advanced Ballet class making small talk on the way. As they approached the door, the dark blond from last week was waiting outside the door. "Hey Jiminie," she said, a smile on her face.

Jimin rolled his eyes and Cheyenne could see the frustration clearly written all over his face. She remembered this girl's behavior from last week and how she just wouldn't leave Jimin alone.

"What do you want Lisa?" Jimin asked, his voice dripping with barely concealed irritation.

"Well Jiminie I was wondering if you could meet me this evening and help me with some moves?" Lisa asked, placing her hand on his arm.

Jimin discreetly shook off the hand, trying to be polite. "No," he replied simply, not offering any explanations or reasons.

Cheyenne could see the anger in Jimin's face. "Jimin," she said, her voice gentle. "Did I tell you how much I adore your soulmate? She is the sweetest person ever. We talked a lot about the three of you and how protective she is. I would hate to see what she would do to someone who would get in the way of that."

Lisa's eyes widened. "It's... it's not like that. I'm just trying to get some help."

Jimin gave her a tight smile. "There are plenty of girls in the class that would be willing to help you," he replied.

"But I want your help," Lisa said in a tone that Jimin assumed was supposed to be seductive. She went to reach for his arm again but never had the chance. Lisa's eyes widened at Cheyenne's sudden movement.

Cheyenne placed herself in front of Jimin, preventing Lisa's hand from making contact with his arm. "If you were just asking for help, you wouldn't insist on touching him. Now I suggest you back away. If his soulmate decides to go after you, I will be more than willing to hold you down while she puts you in your place," she snapped, her voice low.

Lisa looked at her with her eyes comically wide in surprise and shock before rushing into the studio without another word. Jimin turned to look at Cheyenne, his own eyes wide in surprise. "Well... that was unexpected," he said.

Cheyenne blushed in embarrassment. "I'm sorry. I don't know what came over me. Your soulmate was so sweet to me and has been so welcoming, I... I just couldn't help myself," she apologized. She really liked their soulmate and couldn't stand the thought of someone hurting her.

Jimin shook his head and gave her a smile. "Please don't apologize. There are so many people that don't respect soulmate bonds. It's so nice to see people that do," Jimin said, his voice kind and gentle. "I appreciate it more than you know." Jimin was shocked that Cheyenne had stepped in like that, but he had to admit it was refreshing to see. His beautiful soulmate must really have made an impression on Cheyenne that made the sweet dancer come to her defense so quickly. Cheyenne was exactly the type of friend his soulmate needed.

Cheyenne returned the smile. "Let's get to class before we both get in trouble," she said, waving towards the door, trying to take the attention away from herself.

Jimin relented and headed into the studio, Cheyenne following behind him. He still had questions he wanted to ask about her soulmate story but after the respect Cheyenne showed for his soulmate, he decided to let her be. If she had secrets to keep, he would respect her privacy.
