"Control Room"
Bangtan's Mansion

//

After the whole training room and punching-Jungkook-in-the-face fiasco, Malia and Seokjin had an open and honest conversation. She understood his reasoning clearly and had to admit that though his methods were harsh, they proved effective.

From that morning onwards, Malia had grown tougher and more comfortable with all of the strength she had kept bottled up for all of her life. She was hardly breathless when it came to one-on-one fights and could easily match Yoongi if she was really well rested.

"Anger is not always something to be feared," Seokjin had once said. "In fact, acknowledging it and letting it out helps more than you think."

And as Malia looked at herself in the full length mirror situated on her purple bedroom wall, she couldn't help the smile that stretched across her face.

She looked down at her bruised knuckles that began to heal from punching Jungkook square in the jaw. She ran a thumb over them, using the purple marks as a reminder of the beginning of realising her full potential.

For the first time since her father's murder, Malia could genuinely say that she was happy and content with her surroundings. Her appa placed her in the care of these boys for a reason, a reason that still remained a mystery to the amethyst eyed girl, but a mystery that she could quite happily accept.

A small knock sounded from her bedroom door, capturing Malia's full attention.

"Hey-o!" Hoseok greeted cheerily as he entered the room.

Malia smiled welcoming her friend into her room.

"What's up, Hobi?"

"Nothing much," Hoseok shrugged, take a seat on the plush couch in the corner of the room.

Malia couldn't help but notice his appearance however. The usually bright ray of sunshine was dressed from head to toe in black. He wore a vest that she had heard the other members call "the bulletproof". His brown locks were pushed back from his face and the leather gloves he wore gleamed under Malia's bedroom lights.

"Where are you off to?" she asked curiously.

"Actually, that's what I'm here to tell you about."

Malia raised an eyebrow as she sat on her bed.

"Tonight we're going on a mission," Hoseok stated, leaning backwards. He licked his lips. "Business has to continue as usual if we want money to continue rolling in, you know?"

Malia nodded, snapping back to reality. The males that she lived with were so normal and kind that she even forgot about what they did for a living. She got so accustomed to being the group's main focus and assignment that she hadn't even realised that they had other matters to attend to.

She slouched a little in disappointment. She knew that she was not going to be able to go, it was too much of a risk.

Hoseok, being a natural at picking up body language and a room's atmosphere, rushed to sympathize with the girl.
