Chapter 13

So it has been a week since Ethan and I broke up and I was getting the hang of taking care of Hazel by myself without the little help he gave me. My family and friends have really stepped up and helped me with Hazel now more than ever before. 

My phone rings and it is my best friend Miah.

"Hey, what's up?" I ask

"Not much you?" she asked

"Oh you know loving the life on a teen mother" I answer

"That's why I called do you want to hang out?"

"Yeah sure what do you want to do?"

"I don't care want to get the group together and we can all go for a walk or something at the park?"

"Sounds good to me I'll get Hazel ready and meet you guys there in an hour if that's okay?"

"Yeah that sounds good see you than"

"Yup Bye"

"Bye"

I hung up my phone and yell to my mom that I was going out with my friends and Hazel and I would be gone the whole afternoon. I go and get all of the things I need for Hazel and get them all packed up in my car and head out .

"Hey guys so nice to see you" I say

"Yeah so glad you could hang out we haven't seen you much lately." Amber says

"Yeah I know but Hazel takes a lot of time and attention that I used to use to hang out with you guys but I wouldn't trade her for the world." I answer

"I know you wouldn't. well should we get to walking?" Miah asked

"Yeah lets go" I answer

"So Madi are you ready for the fair coming up in two weeks?" Miah asked

"No were near ready I still have to make sure the lambs are ready and look nice I have to print all of my picture off and I have to name the lambs yet and make the poster boards yet and I don't get much time to any of that stuff with Hazel needing something 24/7 and I only get about 4 hours a day to do anything while she sleeps. when she does nap I have to do laundry and dishes and other things to so I have a lot to do. How about you are you ready Miah?"

"For the most part yeah I only have a few finishing touches to put on my poster this week and then I'm ready." Miah answered

"lucky" I say

"Well one day I could come over and we could work on everything together and hopefully keep Hazel feed, napped, and happy while we work?" she asked

"Yeah that would be great thanks what time next week works for you?" I ask

"Anytime"

"okay just show but one day and we can work on it because I never leave the house unless I need to go get something from the store and I go shopping on Saturdays so I should be good all week so any day works."

"okay sound good I will shoot you a text when I'm on my way over."

"Okay thank you you have no idea how much this will help me out with everything thank you."

"No problem what are friends for."

2 Weeks Later 

...

It's the day of the fair and I'm running around like a chicken with its head cute off. I have every thing done it just feels like I have nothing done. 

"Come on Madi we have to go and load the lambs up in the trailer." my dad yells at me 

'I'm coming I had to get all of mine and Hazels things together before we left sorry." 

"I don't care lets just go"

after we got all the lambs loaded up we hopped in the cars and headed to the county fair. the county fair is my favorite time in the summer its a time for me to hang out with friends I only see at the fair time, but I'm a little nervous because most of my fair friends don't know I had a baby this year and I' scared for what they might say to me, but I have to put it all behind me and focus on Hazel and making sure the lambs are taken care of. 

When we got there we pulled up to the barn and we all got out to see where are pens where for our lambs and the minute I got out of my car and grabbed Hazels car seat I felt all the eyes land on me and people start to judge and question. But I kept my head down and focused on what I came here to do have fun and hang out with my friends.
