chapter 4

Walking into the school took a lot of courage after not being their for a week and telling everyone I was sick. The only people who know about Hazel are Miah, Amber, McKenzie, and my family.

When I finally walked into the school no one really noticed because it was the start of the JV game and like I said no one goes to the JV games. But when I walked into the gym I saw the group of guys that could be Hazel father they all turned and the look on their face was the best ever. It was a look of oh shit one of us is screwed. I snap out of my thoughts when the rest of the girls form the team came running up to me asking how I was. Then when Lexie saw Hazel she let out a small scream.

"Is this a baby?" she asked

"Yes and her name is Hazel Grace Anderson." I told them

"Wait what!!" they all said at once. 

"Yeah I'll explain but can we please go and sit down this car seat isn't light." 

"Oh of course"

So we when over behind the JV girls and watch them play. All I could do is dream of playing with them tonight but I can't play the rest of the season which really stinks. 

"Madi, Madi, MADI!!" Amber said which shuck me out of my thought. 

"What?" I asked

" The team wanted answers"

"oh Right."

So I go to explain everything that lead up to Hazels birth. 

" So you where pregnant and didn't know and you played almost 2 sport season." they all asked some way shape or form.

"Yeah know let me watch the game please." 

" Okay can we hold her?" they asked

"Not right know you guys need to be focused on the games and need to go and get ready." I tell them.

"No its only the first half." they whined

" After the game when we go out to eat okay."

"Fine," they all say.

"Thank you."

Hazel needed a diaper change so I took her to the bathroom and changed her. When I came out  Josh was waiting outside "what do you want?" I asked

"Is that your baby?" he asked.

"Yeah it is you have a problem with it." I said.

"Nope no problem just wondering." with that he walked a way.

At half time the JV girls where down by 10 I ask Amber to watch Hazel but told her no one is to hold her until after the game. After I handed Hazel to amber I walked down to the locker room and went in. When the girls saw it was me they gave me a hug and started to ask a million question.

"Jold up I didn't come in here to gossip. I came in her to talk about basketball and that's all you guys should care about right know." I told them.

After I started to go over a few things it was time to back up and play.

"Thanks Madi the girls needed that they have been worried sick about you." Coach said.

"No problem I'm not going to leave because I had baby." I told her.

"Okay sounds good. I have to go but we will talk later okay."

And with that she was gone.

The Varsity game is when more people come. As people started to come in I kept getting weird looks and people would whisper when I would walk past. My friends kept reminding me to ignore it and I did because I was going to have to get used to that from now on. As I was trying to leave parents and other students where trying to ask me a lot of questions, but my friend and parents got me out of there as fast as the could without answering their questions. 

When we got their the girls started to fight over who was going to hold her first.

"No one is going to get to hold her if you guys don't stop." I Yell.

I took her out of her car seat and handed her to Amber first because that's who I flt comfortable with.

"You can hand her off when you would like to. I'm going to go and talk to coach for a while if you need me come get me." I tell her.

" Okay sound good."

When I walk over by coach she gave me a hug.

"How are you feeling?" she asked

"Tired but good." 

"well it will take awhile to get used to it but you will be fine."

"thanks."

"No problem, so what does the rest of the season look like for you?"

"Well I can't play that's what the doctor told me. But I will be at every practice, home and away games. The only thing is I will have Hazel with me." I explained.

"Okay that's okay with me if that's what you want?"

"Yeah that's what I want. You guys are my second family and I could never leave the team. I will always come down during half time and talk to the girl."

"Awesome what you did today really did help the girls win the game."

"Thanks. I have to go Hazel needs me."

"yup go right a head."

When I walk over Lexie id holding her and she is crying. 

"I promise I didn't do anything." she said

"I know she is just really tired this is a long time for her to be out of the house." I explained

The rest of the night me, Miah, or Amber held her because she cried in anyone else arms.
