One Night Can Change your Life.

chapter 16

"So what do you want to eat tonight remember it's on me," Kyle said.

"I'm not sure but I haven't had a funnel cake in a long time," I answered

"Done we'll fo get you a funnel cake," he answered with a smile.

After about 10 minutes to get the funnel cake we are about to dive into them when Hazel starts to fuss.

"what's wrong Hazel?" I ask her. "are you tired and ready for bed baby?"

"Hey, can we go back up to the bathrooms so I can get her changed and ready for bed, and then we can go walk around?" I asked

"Yeah, that's fine whatever you need to do to make sure Hazel is taken care of is fine with me." He answered

"Okay thanks" I answered with a smile

"No problem," he added with a smile.

So we get up and start walking to the bathrooms and as we're walking I'm trying to eat my funnel cake and push Hazel's stroller and I'm epically failing. 

"Here let me push Hazel so you can eat your funnel cake." He said.

"No, I've got it," I answered. as I drop a piece of funnel cake on the ground.

"Yeah sure looks like you got it," he said laughing.

"shut up here but please be careful and once I'm done eating I'm taking her back," I added

so we took the stroller and start to push Hazel while I ate my funnel cake. By the time we got to the bathrooms, I was done eating my funnel cake and then took Hazel into the bathroom to put her into her PJs and get her all bundled up and ready for bed. When we finally came out of the bathroom I put her in the stroller gave her her nook and blanket and she went right to bed before we even started to walk around again. 

"Wow someone was tired," Kyle said laughing

"Yeah, it's hard to be six months old and out so late and not in your normal routine." I answered

"Well, shall we go walking and play some game if you want," he asked

"Yeah sounds like fun I just can't stay out too late with Hazel and all"

"Yeah, I understand what if I had you back to your camper at 10 ?" he asked,

"sounds perfect," I say 

Then we start to walk back to the midway to play some games. once we got to the midway we ended up stopping to get a snowcone and then sat down to eat them and started talking all of a sudden I look at my watch and it says it was 11 o'clock. 

"omg, it's 11 o'clock I should probably get back to my camper so Hazel can get some good sleep in a bed and not a stroller," I say laughing.

"Yeah probably would be a good idea. I'll walk you back to your camper then."

"thanks but you don't have to I'll be fine," I say 

"No, I want to walk you back to your camper just to make sure you get there safe." He answers

"I'm not going to win this am I?" I ask

"Nope so just get over it and let me walk you back to your camper" he added

"Fine," I say with a sigh.

as we walked back to my camper we continued to talk and laugh and it felt really good to talk and laugh with someone like this again. Madi what are you thinking you can't be thinking like this you can't be in a relationship right now you have to focus on school and Hazel. 

"This is us," I say when we come up to our camper. 

"Okay thanks for tonight I had a lot of fun," he said. 

"Yeah me too it was the most fun I've had in a long time. so thank you again for tonight I really did enjoy it." I say with a smile on my face as I'm getting Hazel out of the stroller.

As I'm about to open the door to go into the camper I feel his hands grab my hand and pull me towards him and when I'm in his arms I look into his dreamy blue eyes and get lost. then he leans in and our lips are about to touch and he says "Have a good night see you tomorrow." and then pulls away. I look at him in shock like what just happened and did I want it to happen well I think I did and before I could think I said: "wait to give me a minute to go and put Hazel down and I'll be right back." "Okay don't be too long," he said with a laugh. I pulled the door open and walk in and lay Hazel in her bed and make sure she was okay before I leave her to go back out by Kyle which I knew I shouldn't do because I don't need a relationship right now but something about him makes me want him so bad and he treats me so well and doesn't care that I have a child which is really what makes me like him.

When I open the door again I really thought he would have left but I find him standing up against the camper waiting for me to come out. 

" You waited?" I asked.

"Yeah why wouldn't I?" he asked

"I don't know I just had it in my head you were only being nice to me because you lost a bet and that you would run as soon as you could," I answered

"Now why would someone run away from the most beautiful and smartest girl indoor county?" he asked

"Okay now you're lying to me about that because I'm not beautiful or smart," I answered

"Yes you are I've never seen someone so beautiful and smart and your such a good mom to Hazel any guy would be lucky to have you for a girlfriend," he answered 

"whatever you are just lying to me," I say

Then all of a sudden his hands are on my waist pulling me in and his lips are on my before I could even process what was going on and before I knew it I was kissing him back. Then my brain woke up and was yelling at me to stop the kiss but my heart was telling me to keep going. Then I finally pulled away from the kiss and lend my forehead onto his and said "we can't do this"

"Why you now you want to and I now I want to so what's the problem?" he asked

"It's just that I need to focus on graduating high school and making sure Hazel is taken care of and if I add a boyfriend to the mix I'm afraid that my heart might get broken and then I won't be the best mother to Hazel that I could be," I answered.  

"Okay I understand but what if we started off as being friends and see where it goes from there?" he asked

"can I think about it?" I ask

"Take all the time you need just let me know what you decide." he said, 

"thank you." I say with a smile "Good night. see you tomorrow." 

"good night see you tomorrow," he said 

And with that, I turned and opened the door and went in and went to bed.
