Draco looks up from his desk at a stunning Hermione, her hair fell perfectly on her beautifully sculpted face complementing her perfect smile.

"Uh Hello" Draco stutters, distracting himself by pretending to look through his book, Hermione grins and begins to giggle.

"Draco your book is empty" She giggles and shakes her head continuing to write her name and date at the top of her book. Draco looks over to Hermione with a look of embarrassment on his face, he found him self staring, she's so beautiful and smart he thought to himself.

"I can't believe Flitwick sat me next to you, at least I can copy your answers, thats all your good for" Draco sneers writing into his book.

Hermione leans over and whispers into Draco's ear, "We both know that's not true, I can do a lot more than that" Hermione says pulling away, Draco is left sitting there eyes wide with words running through his mind, show no emotion, show no emotion, but he couldn't help it Hermione had did something to him the way her words made a shiver go down his spine, the way the heat of her breath made Draco sweat.

For the rest of the lesson the pair sat in silence Draco rather flustered but Hermione rather pleased with herself, she knew that what she was feeling Draco was too she just had to get it out of him, it was just so hard he always showed no emotion. But Hermione was determined, she wanted Draco all of him, all of him to herself, she didn't care what Harry and Ron thought, or anyone for that matter, she just knew that for some reason, opposites attract.

After a long sixty minutes class was over, Draco shoved his books into his school bag and quickly made his way out of the classroom. As soon as he got out of the room Draco leaned on the brick wall outside of the room. He was breathing heavily, he was struggling to breathe. Had Hermione really made him this nervous, I mean she literally took his breath away. After a few seconds Hermione appeared out from the room she was standing in the doorway and immediately made eye contact with Draco who immediately looked away. Hermione made her way through the hall til she finally reached Draco on the other side.

"Draco, are you alright?", Hermione says putting her hand softly on his shoulder.

Draco immediately slaps Hermione's hand off of his shoulder.

"Don't touch me mud blood!" Draco yells into Hermione's face.

Hermione's face falls she begins to get tears in her eyes, she looks down towards the ground than looks back up into Draco's emotionless eyes.

"You don't mean that Draco, I know it's scary, meeting new people and friends, but it's nothing to be ashamed about", Hermione says with a half smile and a tear running down her cheek.

"It's scary when it's you", Draco sneers brushing past Hermione.

"Don't talk to me Granger, just stay away from me", Draco scoffs beginning to walk away, Hermione left with tears in her eyes and in her thoughts she was thinking about how she got it all wrong about Draco, about how he was still a monster, and how he would never change.

But little did Hermione know, once Draco walked away, tears began to fall from his eyes, his crying was quiet on the outside, but on the inside he was screaming. He knew he had so much love to give to Hermione but he knew that no matter how big it was, nothing was big than his fathers group of death eaters that he knew would come for him if he started befriending Gryffindors and starting to betray the dark lord. So as usual Draco kept everything bottled up inside.

He climbed the icy stairs, the same ones that he had met Hermione on that night, and sat and cried at the top of the astronomy tower. He was beating himself up, beating himself up for calling Hermione a mud blood, she was a muggle born but that didn't make her any different anyone, Draco thought to himself. But he couldn't let anyone know that he had fallen for a Gryffindor, he couldn't let anyone know that he actually cared about someone, especially someone who was a muggle born.

But in order to protect Hermione Draco knew that he had to keep her as an enemy. He had to keep ignoring her, keep bullying her as much as it killed him to do so.

Draco knew there was only two weeks of school left before he had to go home for the Christmas holidays, and it scared him, the paranoia he has about his father knowing about Hermione and about how he saved Harry, Draco was terrified. He wished there was a way for him to escape going home. He didn't want to go home, but at the same time he did, his father was terrifying but his mother, not so much. Draco loved his mother dearly and he knew that his mother was just in the same situation as he was, stuck with no way out, so even if Draco could get out of going home he wouldn't, he had to protect his mother.

Draco skipped his supper and returned back to his dormitories and got ready for bed.

He lied awake for a while thinking about the days events, but soon he fell asleep hoping to have sweet dreams of dear Hermione.
