"Min Ara I know you're not ignoring me in my own studio"
Snapping out of my daze I look up to see my brother staring at me from his seat.
"Yoongiiiiiiiii I had 2 hours of sleep pleasssee" I said rolling my eyes just to be met by silence.
I look up cautiously knowing it was too quiet just to meet my brothers intense stare & instantly sat up.
"Arraseooo oppa relax, what can I help you with today?"
Finally breaking his glare he turned back to his computer & started playing the track back.
Today was my only day off & my loving brother decided to drag me into the studio again to record his guides which I'm so happy about .... not.
After a few hours he finally let me out of the booth & I crashed on the couch.
"Thank you Ara, you're the only one I can trust to execute what I hear in my head"
"Can you please admit I'm the only one you can boss around without feeling guilty because I'm your sister?"
.... "ok fine that too" he said with a chuckle.
I couldn't help but laugh. My brother has been through so much in his career & I'm just grateful I get to be a part of it as much as I can.
I have recently signed under BigHit Entertainment as their first female solo artist after ending my contract with SM Entertainment at the beginning of the year. I haven't spent much time at the company as I've been promoting my latest single as soon as I signed with them.
Bang PD was adamant that we could pull off a release within the month of signing so that's exactly what we did. We recorded my single "Gotta Go" & in 2 weeks it was approved for promotion.
It gained so much traction online & in the media because it was my first promoted single in a year & also ... the 'Min' siblings had reunited under the same company.
Now that promotions have slowed down I can finally spend some time at the company and in the studio comfortably. My practice room and studio are on a different floor to Yoongi's and this is the first time I've been on the boy group's floor so on my way I looked like a major tourist eyeballing everything just amazed.
Laying on the couch and watching Yoongi do his thing was as close as "relaxing" gets for me and it was good enough.
I checked a few text messages and didn't hear the studio door open until I heard talking.
"Oh ... Ara noona annyeong you're here!"
I looked up to see Jungkook smiling down at me with the brightest smile even though he was dressed head to toe in black.
"Jungkookie-ah, how are you?" He gave me a small hug & sat next to me starting small conversation.
I've met the boys on several occasions. When they debuted, at award shows, music shows, concerts. The only time I've spent with my brother in the past 6-7 years have been with the boys. His extended family.
"Noona you must visit my studio now that you have time off. I want your opinion on some tracks I'm working on okay?"
"Ya! Jungkookie she's only visiting my studio for the time being, get your own sister"
"Ayyy hyungggg, I only have hyungs you know this" I couldn't help but laugh at their interaction.
"Arrasseo noona, maybe join us for dinner? I know the hyungs will be happy to finally see you after a while. We haven't even properly welcomed you yet. Yoongi hyung has kept you locked up in his studio."
"Of course Kookie, we can organise something" & with that he shot me a huge smile & left.
Yoongi was still tapping away with his headphones in ignoring me & finally turned around and threw his headphones off.
