That Just Happened

I got lost in his puffy eyes as I pondered what life would be like without The North Pole, or Bernard.

"What?" He said as he sniffed a few times looking down at me on his shoulder. I sighed

"I- I don't wanna leave you either Bernard" I started "I've only been here one day and I don't ever wanna leave" he wrapped his arm around my waist, pulling me closer beside him, we were basically cuddling at this point.

"Why? I mean, I love this place and my job, but there can't be all that much to fall in love with here" he rested his head on top of mine.

"There's you..." I couldn't believe those words just came out of my mouth, I wasn't too sure I intended on saying them out loud. We both fell silent for a few painful seconds until he moved his body away from mine, standing up from the spot we had sat down. I also stood, grabbing onto his sweater to stop him from walking away.

"Wait! Im, I- uh, I didn't mean it like that!" He stopped and turned to face me. I was surely very red and looked very flustered but I had to keep going, it was now or never.

I sighed "Well I guess I kinda did" I started "You're just so-" I paused, trying to find the words to describe how he had made me feel in one short day. "Look, the other night, when you showed me around I had so much fun, more fun then I've had in years. I enjoy spending time with you! you're just so.... youre so special to me Bernard" I looked up at him, the height difference between us now slightly more intimidating than before.

He didn't say anything, just stared. "Ok, I get the poin-" I started to speak but was quickly cut off by a sudden movement from Bernard. I couldve sworn I was dreaming right then, in that moment, but when his lips finally latched onto mine everything became real. It felt perfect, like our lips were made for eachother. I melted into him as he wrapped his arms around my waist.

When he finally took a break for air, I was sad, as the moment ended just as soon as it began. "I-" I took a few deep breaths before trying to speak again.

"See you later Dollface" Bernard cut me off and winked. As he walked away I stood there, in absolute shock. That just happened.
